Anyway, I think it was a nice surprise to the game. It was another person who is just as mysterious as the next person, but it gave you a chance to find out about another character.

Paine was one of the best characters in the game, and she obviously made it semi-enjoyable for those people who hated X-2, so yes, she was needed.

Plus, new storyline, new characters.

Three is a magic number.

They obviously couldn't bring Lulu back in, since she's going to have a baby. They needed to add in a character that reminded the fans of Lulu, so they broguth in Paine. So yes, I think she was needed.

Haha, Paine. I loved her. What a character.. and yes, in my opinion she was needed. She is about the only part of the game I like. ;D

I only played it to play as Paine, as Yuna and Rikku ...oh, excuse me, HO-Yuna and HO-Rikku were intolerable.

story wise yeah i think she is but for any other reasons no never this game really was bad the only character i liked was shuyin and he should've been the lead in both games it would've made the story alot more fun

I wish Lulu wouldn't have been pregnant and then they could have just used her but since they couldn't them I would say, yes, Paine was neccessary.

Yep, she is. In my opinion, anyway. It was nice to see a new main character, and I kinda like her attitude. Reminds me of Squall, lol. Well, just a tad bit.
