I hate Grammar Nazis

Anyone who hates grammar nazis will hate me; All of my friends call me the Grammar and Spelling Nazi. I'm that picky about grammar!

It annoys me when people get picky about what I've written. Miss-spelling or whatever....it's not an English lesson - as long as it makes sense why does it matter?! As long as you don't text talk at me I don't mind HOW you write.

I feel like a retard trying to read some of the crap I get sent

''wa u up2 dis wkend m8.hus owt?'' <----it's stuff like that that irritates me

continous txt talk along with 23989334 exclamation marks at the end of a sentence really feck me off.

i dun c y it matters!!111111 u kno wat it is i am trying 2 tell u hahahahah! i dun kno y it was i laughed their

So...

Is this a thread dedicated to bashing those who attempt to improve the writing quality of fellow members--or Grammar Nazis as they seem to be referred to as? The majority of the posts I've read seem to focus on the English language itself.

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time trying to correct someone else's punctuation/grammar errors. I'd wager that a large portion of those who type poorly could type well if they wanted to spend the energy. At any rate, no one here needs to play the role of an English teacher. If you want to look like a moron, then by all means, type like one.

The official language should be spanish you know!!!! It's a much better language...

Let's just say I'm not at all displeased with Spain's removal from the eventual United States of America. If I had to listen to that wretched language on a daily basis, I think I'd swim to England.

I like you. :monster:

I myself used to suck hardcore at typing on the computer and I didn't give a shit about how my grammar was on forums and such. However, after a year or so I realized that sure it's just the internet, but you can get your point across a lot easier and people are more willing to read and listen to ideas that are grammatically sensible, so I'd just spent more time checking and correcting mistakes I'd made while typing.

I will not judge anyone on lack of grammar skills on the net, because I know I was 10x worse when I started using the internet.

I'm pretty sure I have a run-on sentence in here somewhere.

Meh, if I can read what the person is saying then I really don't care. Also if they use commas and periods. As long as it's not like: "hai guyz wuts up ppl ned to lern how 2 spek"
