I was going through the Home and Theatre section of the forums and I come across a "Avatar: Legend of Korra" thread. (Page 2)

I go to click on it and a Google Chrome page stops me saying there is malicious malware ahead. (Oh, and take a look who the last poster was  )
Untitled.jpg < image that I took and I hope it is sufficient enough evidence.

To protect other people on the forums could I make a request that it be locked?

Unless locking doesn't prevent people from going into it, in that case is there a way to completely remove it?

ouch, good that chrome blocked that...... Sir Sprout or Pockets are the people you need

Sadly, there is nothing I could do.:/

I really wish they would make a "sarcastic" marker, like the spoiler one... Time to complain!

same result on my pc

don't be alarmed, chrome saying there a LINK to that site that is known to publish malware, soooo as long as the link not clicked you guys should be ok :)

wow, thank you for the heads up. my computer surely would have suffered :damon:

I've just had the same thing, but not on page 2.

For me it was page 1 instead. I cannot see the page (due to it being blocked), so I cannot see what it is on the page which is causing it.

Locking it will not hide it from view. There is deleting it, but it is a huge 5 page topic. I'm not sure if there is a safe way to work out which post is doing damage to that thread.

For now, avoid clicking it out of curiosity whilst I discuss it with staff.

curious that riddick was the last one to post in it :ahmed: it's probably just a link to a streaming site guys :hmmm:

it a link to another forum, as chrome gives me a link to the site
The Grinch would you like the name of the site chrome quoting me??

@Sugar Plum Fairy Is it the one that is in the screenshot?

If not, PM it to me or another staff member.

We can't yet find the link or the trouble in the thread.

EDIT - Or it may have been found and deleted, but Chrome is taking a while to register that the crisis has been averted.

Thanks.

I've moved it to a secure location within the staff area, so people will be ok for now.

If we can figure out what has caused the issue, and fix it, we'll move it back.

Your posts shouldn't be affected.

Thanks for bringing this to attention. Hayley Williams

I think it a link somewhere in the thread, if they could be removed that should fix the problem

Problem being, the link was deleted but Chrome still throws the warning.

We're currently guessing it's an issue with cached data or tags, but we're trying to be sure. :)

arrrr okay, yeah it could be tags maybe, it better to be safe than sorry :)

stupid that somebody would put a link like that :sad3:

The link was legit (it was an article) but it was hosted on a website that had malware.

I don't think it was done on purpose at all. ^_^
