I had no idea what you were talking about but it sounds like a terrible movie.

And its true. Hal and jim made so many spam threads and got a one year ban. Though Jim is a funny guy and Hal was an amusing one too. I miss them being members here. Jims gone all because of a few stupid arseholes that used to frequent this site

Im not a comedy person. To find out the reason of my hugh laurie avatar read a VM i left Tia / Eroica. It was made to be a t shirt design

Oh wow that's a photo manip? How'd you get him to look all artistically drawn? Filters? The texture is so nice <3
 
Yup filters all the way especially T clean to get the vector look but that alone wont make it work you need to use gaussian blur. I rendered him also so i had more freedom of the BG. A lot of sharpening, aswell as the blurring i mentioned before and many gradients to brighten up areas and my personal favourite the render lighting effects tool and ofc the burn and doge tool.
Kept his eyes blue but used a black layer on colour dodge and a blue brush to make them shine a bit then lowered the layer opacity to make it look more natural than supernatural. I wanted them to glow without looking stupid.

It didnt take me that long really but the t shirt design took a hell of a long time and i was so proud of it. Bu because it was a photo manip i was too scared to enter it in case of copyright problems etc seeing as people who get a t shirt designs printed get payed for each shirt that sells. So instead i made another shirt design completely made by me and nothing else anyone else did. I plan to render the t shirt design one day and use it as my sig. I just find pentool rendering to be as boring as anything :sad:

EDIT: Also the apply image and high filter trick that @Oxide taught me was played an awesome role in making the design ''pop out'' set the high pass layer to soft light and youl see the magic it makes.

Thats cuz your lazy bam or too busy getting down with tom :mokken: Butil let you off with that. Though your more likely watching dr who or buffy.

Also im only really familiar with getting photoshop cs2 which is what i use now. The newest is cs6 but overall it wont matter too much which version you have
