Personal Shop Suggestion.

Well I did ask this privately to certain members of FFF's Staff before didn't seem like it could be done then, but now that the shops seem more advanced I figure I'd post a formal Suggestion on this.

I would like to create my own Icons for my shop, I'm sure other people would like to do this as well when and if they buy the "Member Shop" Permission.


Idea Explanation - Make a Item somewhat like the "Logo" Design where you give a small template of what the person wants in it. (IE. Gloss/Background color/Image to use) I found the Logo Design item to be very helpful for personalizing my shop (for Options I haven't seen my logo yet XD). As for Pricing on this I'd suggest maybe around 50 Gil Per Icon Request.

Yeah about this, I had no idea that the upgraded vBShop's design was changed (regarding user-created shops) until I talked to Belazor just moments ago. Members no longer have the option to pick any images they want that's currently stored in the system. You guys would have to actually get your own 'special images' for your own shop, forward them to me to make sure the images are appropriate...and then I forward them to Belazor.

Well, this seems like a hassle, so I'll see about having FTP permission for myself so that I can upload the images forwarded to me from you all. This would make things a lot easier since I won't have to pester Belazor for everything.

Originally, I was going with that same idea (shop logo template), @Setsuna F. Seiei but since I was trying to limit the images to forward to Belazor, I decided against it. But with FTP access, I can freely add items and even upload example of shop logos for you all.

Well thats fine I mean its not like you knew ^_^, Well I do like the change then since I can make each items icon personally >w>.

That sounds good too, I doubt Belazor has alot of time to devote himself to this so that sounds like a better way to do it tbh.

and about the icon template for now since you don't have FTP Access atm is there a Template we should use for now. I have the urge to do a couple now but I'd like to know what I'll need to do(like Size and all).

Oh I don't need FTP access in order to upload the user-shop logo icons, if that's what you meant. But in order for me to actually do your suggestion (make a few items with logo examples), then I'd need the FTP for that. Actually regarding the examples, I would need a few days on this. Thankfully I still have the .psd file so it should be pretty easy to setup.

If you want to create your own personal logo for your shop, the size has to be 75x75. You can do rounded borders if you want, but that's optional.

Nah the Logo I requested will do just fine, sides I'm not too good with gloss or anything xD;, but anyways I ment the Item Icon's, I figure since we'll need to make them ourselves anyways it would be nice to know a template for size and all, but then again if you're able to get FTP access and do the suggestion that might not be needed, I just like having that info for when I make them.
 
So you would like to make your own gift icons right, what do you have in mind? I agree that the provided ones are a bit standard, but doing this people might make unique exclusive gift icons which they would be the only ones that can buy them lol.
 
Ah gotcha, I misunderstood then. :P Yes, the item icons, you'll have to make yourselves. The design is completely up to you. An example for the item icon (50x50 pixels):

But if you want, you can also set the item icons like this: :toothless: (No BG template).

As for the size, as long as it's within 70x70, it should be good. Remember, this is for the item icons only.

The vBShop icons would have to be 75x75. Postbit icons are 28x28.
 
Ahh Alright then thanks for the answer, I'll go ahead and work on a couple then sometime this weekend now that I know the size I should be able to make a couple good ones then ^.^.

Alright no problem.

I'm thinking that I might have to price the user-shop certification item a lot higher, due to the new circumstances. :hmmm:
