Hi all i know you think might sound like a lame question if you guys think it is i understand and we all know how some gamers pick on each other and like the title says and when i say if i mean if he/she does pick on me for my taste so please give me your opinions so i be ready ahead of time if this happens does to me thanks.

What should i do if a fellow gamer picks on me for my taste in games?

I ask because i love classics and yes i love other games too and i admit i might get or i might not get more games where you can play as all girl fighting games and it depends on the game of course yeah yeah i know you think that's insane right and yes i admit i have fun playing those games and yes i also admit some female characters is my favorite characters and my all time favorite characters.

And i do collect other games other then that like for an example i have rumble rose for PS2 in my collection and i enjoy the game and don't worry if the game have my favorite male characters too i will get the game too as well since there is some male characters is my favorite characters as well and yes some of each males and females is my all time favorite characters in games, video games and anime/manga too as well.

And don't worry I'm not ashamed of anything and I'm not ashamed of liking/loving certain characters and certain games same with anime/manga and this question is only asking ahead of time and yes if they think I'm crazy or I'm insane that if i don't play good graphic game when i play classics and i do play both depending on if i want to play that game.

Thanks for the advice and thanks for the understanding

Ugh, I know your feelings, bro.

If someone judges you for playing what you KNOW are classics, and games that are RPGs, where you play as a girl on occasions, etc, etc... To hell with them. Tell them to go back to their Call of Duty and mind their own damn business, to put it plainly.

If you love a game for its characters, story or overall experience because it moved you/gave you an attachment, you definitely played a great game that whoever is picking on you, is missing out on. I'm hating the new gaming generation with all these people who hate on games that are long and have story, and quirky characters or scenarios. Gaming doesn't have to be realistic. There's nothing wrong with playing as a fantasy character in a fantasy world. If you really love that stuff, enjoy the living @#$% out of that game and abolish all who insult you for it.

Stand up for what you like, that you know is truly a classic game that the ignorant are missing out on, and just ignore them. Keep playing your gewd videogames. :)

you know I'm talking about all games not just the classics right?

Of course. There are tons of new games that people just shrug off because it looks too 'out of the box' for realism or setting. The most attractive thing on the box nowadays is soldiers with guns. I understand your liking for female characters and how having a really strong lead character will influence your feelings towards a game. I personally have a handful of characters of different genders that I really adore from videogames. Most gamers (if I can even call them that -_-) that would pick on you for liking a character/world from a game just don't understand the appreciation of such things. Some people only see games as things that are fun or not fun, and don't take a second to realize what more the game has to offer.

So if you get 'picked on' for playing games because of certain features such as female characters or for certain gameplay elements, go right ahead. You're not doing anything wrong and the person who's picking on you should know that.

If someone makes fun of you for your taste in games, then they are not really worth your time. Ignore them and move on to other things. Yeah I know this can be easier said than done depending on the circumstance. But when you think about it, why would someone be so bothered by the games that you enjoy?

tell them to go suck a dick

but they might have a legitimate point if you enjoy playing shitty games as opposed to amazing ones, but only in the fact that you are robbing yourself of an experience worth having

ff8 is probably my second favorite ff next to ffx or fft, anyone who doesnt like it can blow me :elmo:

but seriously, sometimes no need to be defensive about it. it might be an interesting experience to expand on a different genre, especially if the game is good. i played catherine with no expectations and actually really, really enjoyed it. it makes me sad that the game wasn't made for psp, it would have been perfect, best psp title of all time imo.
