Hi all I'm sorry if that title is too long i was wondering Are there any guys like me who love foreign movies and Asian dramas?

And no don't worry I'm not insecure and so far i love all foreign movies and i love all Asian drama I've tried so far and i love it since I'm an American guy myself and yes i don't understand the language and yes some of the actors and some of the actresses is some of my favorite actors and some of my favorite actresses and yes they are also some of my favorite celebrities i ask since a lot of girls and a lot of women love drama shows and Asian drama.

Mainly Asian girls and Asian women anyway sorry if this sounds like approval seeking because I'm not seeking approval and another reason i ask is because we all know how some people are racist and racism to anyone even to foreigners and yes i admit foreign movies and Asian dramas is some of my favorite movies and some of my favorite shows and yes anime/manga too.

And yes i do some Spanish and i admit i like/love foreign girls and foreign women and if i know other languages i let you know thanks for your answers and please be honest with me and please don't be racist and racism since I'm against racist and racism thanks again everyone.

Whats so special about them being straight?

Yes i love foreign movies. I will never snub a movie because of subtitles.
You folks who do this are missing out on some of the worlds best cinema. My favourite film ever hands down is 'Cidade de Deus' translated as the city of god.
Its a Brazilian film set in the favela over in Rio, the worlds biggest slum. The film starts off in the early 60s when the housing schemes were being built and the favela was coming to be. Skipping ahead to the future 2 youths take different paths in life.
The main protagonist Rocket grows up to become a small time photographer hoping to make it big and get himself out of the ghetto.
The other one becomes the favela's biggest drug dealer and most dangerous criminal in the city. Hes one of the best villains ive seen in any movie and he plays his part fantastically. What amazed me is that the majority of the city of gods acting cast were all amateurs. This film is a must see for any movie goer. Not just foreign film lovers but movie lovers in general. It holds an 8.8/10 rating on IMDB if anyone has doubts. Sure that site has some iffy ratings (the dark knight) but take my work that its an amazing film and watch it.

I have many many foreign films in my collection and most of them are in my favourites pile. I recently watched spirited away which is a Japanese anime film and i loved it. One of the best animated films ive ever seen. Correction. THE best animated film i have ever seen.
I also recently watched the Crimson Rivers on Netflix. French film starring Jean Reno, whom i love btw. Sadly i could only watch it dubbed and the film itself was great, very dark and very gritty. The dub however totally killed it. Jean Reno did his own English dub as obviously he speaks English as did the other main character. I forget his name but hes in one of the oceans films. I re watched the film on dvd in French with subtitles and it was so much better. Its a reminder to people. Please don't watch dubbed movies. It ruins the whole experience. The characters voices were so out of place. You'd have one man speaking In a very American accent and the next bloke sounded like a west Londoner. Not to mention that the lips are all out of sync etc. These dubs just cant get the emotions and feeling right that the characters are going through correct either. Always avoid.

So yes i am straight man and i love foreign movies. My next foreign watch is Oldboy. Its got immense reviews and a good friend on the forum @Coco told me that it was awesome so i cant wait to watch it. I also have Amelie and Pans labyrinth on its way to me in the post :)

I enjoy foreign films; I actually have to pay attention to the dialogue, which gets me more involved in what I'm watching. They're also generally better scripted - films in the English language (especially American ones) are filled with godawful cliches and little more than loud explosions, or get about as deep as Inception (which, by the way, was pathetically shallow and nowhere near as complex as it should have been) and just aren't as immersing. That isn't to say that they're all bad (just most of them) or that foreign films and dramas are always better, but most of the time if I want a good plot I'll look outside of my natural language for it. Watching a lot of anime has given me a very high tolerance for subtitles; reading them isn't a distraction anymore, it's something I just do.

An excellent example of a good foreign movie, in my opinion, is Pan's Labyrinth. I also saw a rather good French film recently set in Asia regarding the economy, although I'll be damned if I can remember the name of it. I've not seen many Asian dramas, though; finding them for download is a nuisance.

...and for anyone curious, no, this is not an admission that I am male. I just wanted to contribute to the topic.
