*sigh*
To say I'm unhappy with my self image would be an understatement. Growing up I was always on the chunky side, not quite obese but still overweight type deal. Then as a teenager I played softball and I really slimmed down. Once I got to college I started to gain more, and then lost a lot of weight drastically (I went down to 111 pounds at one point). That was in 2010, I believe. Now I'm back up to 150-155. About two months ago I was up to around 160.
So I've been trying to lose weight. And idk why I'm posting this here, maybe it's to vent my frustrations on my constant weight gain and loss. I'm trying really hard to get back down to the 130 range. I do little bouts of exercise everyday, take walks, swimming a lot in the summer, trying to watch what I eat.....but the thing is, I'm a college student who lives on campus. So the place I usually eat is the cafeteria. Anyone who has been to a college cafeteria knows that that shit is greasy and fattening. lol. Not trying to make excuses, it's my fault that I chose to eat the greasy, fattening foods over a salad. But I honestly love those foods. When midterms and finals come around I don't really care what I eat. I care more about passing my midterms or finals.
I'm also trying to figure out what body type I am. First off, I'm 23 years old and 5'3", weighed in today at 153. I think I am either a rectangle body type, inverted triangle, or apple. Some people say hourglass. I don't have an up to date meassurement for myself, so I can't really figure it out. In 2010 I was 38-28-37, so I was close to an hourglass I think. Anyone know more about body types and such? I may post a picture of myself is someone can figure out my body type by looking at the pic
According to most BMIs I am slightly overweight. Usually anything about 25.0 on the scale is over weight, while anything over 30.0 is obese. I usually check in between 26.0-27.0, depending on my weight that week/month. I also come from an Italian American family. So that means pasta, pizza, garlic bread, breadsticks, etc. lol. So that explains the constant weight fluctuations. That and I'm also on birth control.
Idk, I'm just really depressed with the way I look/feel. Anyone have any good advice for weight loss? Any success stories?

I used to be really, really thin. Almost too thin and no matter what I ate I would stay that way so I started to adopt really bad eating habits and now that I'm older the weight is starting to stack on. I went from 43kg (very underweight) to about 65kg in about just over a year. I was so depressed and I hated myself but the fucking junk food tastes so good.
I am also a lazy fuck so I can't be bothered making myself food for work.
so long as it's nothing too fattening
I am a very picky eater unfortunately. I almost live off of Italian food, and fast food. My problem is that I'm a very unhealthy eater and I really don't like trying new foods. I'm going to try and kick that habit. And if not, I'll just cut back on how much I eat. In all honesty I can eat an entire pizza pie by myself.....something I used to boast about, but now I realize that's not the best thing health wise XD I'm cutting back to two slices, or those home made pies, etc.
Basically, I was really fat before, now I'm only kinda-sorta fat.

But, I still wanted to eat the same. I put on some pounds.

I just cannot live without it x_x Which is why if you do drink it, only drink it once during that day and then try to lay off for a few more days. And if you drink soda that day, try not to have other sugary things that day. Make soda like a dessert. Just remember everything in moderation! High Fructose corn syrup can be reaaally bad for you, but once in a while and not too much is nothing to worry about.
But, I s'pose, little girls who are at the age where they like to pretend they *know everything* wouldn't necessarily recognize that.
Was that before or after Shu showed he doesn't have the slightest clue why sugar is fattening or that metabolic processes that are more 'difficult' consume more energy(burn more calories)?
