you do realise what the dates on those articles are, right?

Those articles were circulated around the early 1990s. Outdated doesn't even begin to describe the inadequacy of his sources.
They're like more than 10 years too late.

Argor, thanks for intercepting; I think he would've kept going even though I tried to point out that he was going very far off-topic. I only meant to point out an error and leave it at that; my intention wasn't to have it go too far. In any case ...

I wasn't even trying to go off on you, I was merely (as I stated multiple times) trying to correct you on an error you made. You proceeded to deviate from the original point of this thread, which was to state random facts. I only entertained you by responding to your verbose tirades. I didn't even have to reply and certainly my intent wasn't to belittle you; again, merely to correct you.

Honestly, was there any reason for you to reply to that in such an acerbic manner? I could do without the nasty sarcasm; what transpired is done: I corrected you on something minor, we both went off-topic somewhat, and now we're back on-topic. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, it's not necessary to flog a dead horse, I'm finished with "trying to go off on someone" as you so nicely put it.

More facts ...

-While general vocabulary and knowledge about the world often stays sharp through one’s 70s, memory for names begins to decline as early as age 35. The ability to recognize faces and find one’s car has already begun to wane by the 20s. However, research shows that brain stimulation not only stops cells from shrinking, but it can also increase brain cell and dendrite branching.
-Getting dumped often leads to “frustration attraction,” which causes an individual to love the one who dumped him or her even more.
-Researchers report that women’s magazines have 10.5 times more ads and articles promoting weight loss than men’s magazines do, and over 75% of women’s magazine covers include at least one article title about how to change a woman’s body by diet, exercise, or cosmetic surgery.
-Dreams of losing teeth or having teeth extracted can signify many things, including fears of helplessness or of some sort of loss in one’s life. Women experience more teeth dreams than men. (My mom had a dream about her teeth falling out once, that sure does explain what she was going through at the time ...)
-Researchers found that every two hours spent watching television was associated with a 14% increase in diabetes risk.
-Sharks do not have a single bone in their bodies.

5. To counter the story of Romney strapping a dog to his roof for a long trip, some have brought up Obama eating dog meat during his time spent in Indonesia as a child. I don't know whether this is better or worse than Obama going on record as having read the Harry Potter books and Romney countering this by going on record as having read the Twilight books, but it is somewhat disgusting.
