I posted a tidbit about this on IX part of the forums and just reminded me to post it here. For those interested in Uematsu's work for this release its up on youtube, you can also get it from Megaupload if you search for it.

There are many great tunes in this OST, I personally loved 3, 23, 72 (Levequest Victory March!) and a few others, best you check yourselves though. This was ripped from the Alpha and has been out since March.
 
I've already got the whole thing on my hard drive, and it does sound very good. MILES fucking better than FFXIII's shit OST, that's for damned sure. :hmph:
 
Was it really?? Wow, now I might just go buy the game because he composed the music. :ohshit: I need to go listen to it, hopefully it's as memorable as all his other songs from the past FFs.
 
1D is the best track on that OST. I just wonder where they will use the epic song in the game :hmmm: I listen to 1D everyday. My favorite song in the OST :griin:
 
I've wondered that myself, actually. 1D is a very great track. However, for the life of me, I can't see where they would use that in an MMO. :hmmm:

I'm making a pro-con list on whether or not to buy it, and it's getting very uneven :D (in a good way).
 
ID is used a little bit in the opening cutscene for Limsa Lominsa, but I can definetely see it being overly used later on on the full open beta release.

I know I won't get the game, but I might invest in the soundtrack. It sounds pretty stellar already ^^

I think Nobuo will perform a XIV track at those concerts he's doing :hmmm:
