So what's the worst customer service you've ever had?

I always have a really hard time communicating with agents at Dell. For some reason, they always transfer me to a Spanish operator, even though I obviously speak clear English. Not to mention they place you on hold for countless hours. =x

I always get shitty service whenever I'm at a busy restaurant. Seems the waiter or waitress never wants to refill my drink or even come around to our table for that matter. Everybody has picked out what they want to eat but we can't tell anybody. The appetizer has been finished off for quite some time. Yeah, busy time at the restaurants.

Poor customer Service, I guess it was at A fast food joint when the guy behind the counter had an attitude with about him srewin' up my order. I almost leaped acroos the counter and whooped his ass, But I thought about the kids watchin'.

That reminds me of a time when my brother and I went to a local Whataburger for some late-night munchies. We went through the drive-thru, got our order, and took it home. We both had bacon cheeseburgers. I was the only one who got a bacon cheeseburger. My brother took a bite of his burger, only to get a mouthful of bun and lettuce. He opened it up and found a half-eaten patty and 1 strip of the tiniest piece of bacon ever. We went back up to the Whataburger and was all like "WTF?" The manager said he would found out what happened and get to the bottom of it. He went to the back room and stayed there. We waited for about 15 minutes for him to show back up, but he never came out. My brother ended up just getting his money back.

I get bad customer service every time I call Consumers Energy. First I can never get a hold of a person, I get those stupid machines, and when I finally get a hold of someone, I get a complete asshole who thinks I'm a total idiot. And it happens every single time I call. One guy was like "Why didn't you call earlier you had all this time" and I was like "if I could get hold of a person when I called instead of navigating through the countless machines, I wouldn't have gotten a hold of you faster" and he was like "Well that's not my problem". I asked to speak to his manager and he hung up on me! I kept on calling back until I did get a hold of his manager and I complained to him for a good 15 min. I hope I got that guy fired.

I also usually experience bad customer service when it comes to technical complications that deals with internet connetion, Dell, Verizon Wireless, PC cards, etc. They would always tell me to call this other number and when I do, they'd tell me to call that other number I just called. So I'd try going online and chat with a representative (after a half-an-hour wait) and I still really wouldn't find answers even then.

Dell are notorious for awful customer service. Which is one of the reasons I abhore from them.

I can't actually recall any particularly bad times I've had bad customer service, but if you happen to come into JD in Carlisle on one of the few occasions that I'm on the shop floor, I'll show you bad customer service. :monster:

The Sim City 4 website has one of the worst and is probably comparable to Dell. First off, in order to download certain modifications or add-ons to the game, the site requires you to log in, create an account, and then register your product. Well, that doesn't sound like much, but since there are a lot of potheads out there who steal serial numbers, that turns out to be a big problem.

In order to solve it, you have to contact them, and then after filling out a half-hours worth of troubleshooting forms, you submit it and then the site comes up with some BS message about not having an e-mail connection to the site. (Tried about 30 times during the past couple of weeks, and there have been a crapload of other complaints as well).

You never get help over there. They don't reply to anything. :monster:
And it never helps that the site has a monopoly on all the best items...

I never had a extremely bad customer service. Probably the worst costumer service I ever had was in doctor's offices and retail stores.

In doctor offices I notice the women working there are really catty, and just give you an attitude.

In some retail stores people act like they don't want to be there. Yeah, it sucks working on a Sunday but suck it up. I'm nice enough to say: "Hi, How are you? And Thank you." Yet, I don't get a response back such as "You're welcome, have a nice day." Even at work when I feel miserable and someone were to come up to me and be polite, I would feel better.

Heh, I can't believe you guys call Dell. That wouldn't even be my last resort if my computer had an issue. I wouldn't take advice from a person who cannot speak English and lives on the other side of the world. (Nor Geek Squad :argh:)

I've never actually had bad service but my parents have, like when we moved we had to get new service for our TVs we called the people and I can't remember what the service is cause I'm about to fall asleep but I'll say it later. Anyways we called the people to make sure they knew what they were coming to do and made sure they knew they were coming to hook up 4 TVs. The guy came and said that he had only been told to hook up 3. So he did that and left. Then when we actually got the 4th TV we told the people to come back to hook it up, they said that they would but they didn't. Then we called and after about 45 mins of being on hold they said they'd come and again they didn't. So finally we told them to come back AGAIN and that time they did... It took them 5 weeks to hook our 4 TVs when they should have done it in 1 day.

Good post.

I am my own worst customer service, since I'm rude and sarcastic, and often overcharge people I don't like :monster:.
But I've never been fired since I do a good job otherwise, lol.

I despise call centres tho with there automated services and then you get sodding greensleeves when you are on hold. Press 1 for this 2 for that & by the time you get to please press 0 to hear those options again you're pretty annoyed. Then when you DO get thru to someone, it's a call centre in india.......omg (capital one - im looking at you here) As for actual people being nasty i've been quite lucky I think. Nothing springs to mind anyway. Altho I've had nasty customer service from CUSTOMERS when I used to work in a shop years ago, some seem to think that because you work there it's ok to be rude. But that's a whole other subject lol

I agree Cerridwen. X__x

I go to the chiropractor with my boyfriend a few times a week (since he keeps getting into car accidents). And the girls behind the counter:

A) Think they're really hot. One of the girls has red hair, brown eyebrows, black eye makeup, and blue contacts. She wears super tight jeans that squeeze her belly fat (the kind you get after giving birth), and revealing, low cut shirts. These girls obviously try way TOO hard.
B) They sit behind the counter and talk while we're waiting to be let into the office. They talk and talk and talk and hang around on the phone and then say "you're too late, come back tomorrow".

OMFG I want to ring their necks!

Haha, you mean muffin tops? XD Ewww those women sound nasty.

Ouch Chirpractic.

I hate it how when you walk up to them and tell them you have an appointment they give you a dreadful look like: "UGH GOD WHY IS THIS PERSON INTERRUPTING MY CONVERSATION!"

It seems like generally in most offices women are really rude and catty. Which is kinda sad, because people in retail and supermarkets are more polite than office ladies.

Oh no!!! I work in an office and I'm not rude or catty.....In my experience girls that work in clothes shops are worse, especially the nicer shops, if you go in looking abit scruffed out , coz sometimes you just cant be bothered making an effort can you ;) they look at you as if to say 'what are you doing in MY shop......oh the joys of online shopping!!!!!

I'm having trouble thinking of a specific situation where the service was horrendous, but I'm certain I've experienced it several times at restaurants.

Something along the lines of waiting forever for the meal to arrive just to find that you were given food that you didn't order. Shit happens...no biggie.
