Why do the characters look like crap?

Revenant Wings has cutesy, cartoony graphics, so they're gonna be a bit odd...
It's to be expected at the end of the day with games like that!

I suppose you're right but did they have to make them look that bad?

I DONT LIKE THIS GAME WHAT SO EVER AND HOW THE CHRACTERS LOOK IS NOT HIGH ON THE AGENDA IF THERE IS A PROBLEM ITS THAT THEY HAVE NO CHARACTER EXCEPT FOR ASHE....& PENELO.....& FRAN.....NOTICE THE PATTERN?

Honestly, to me, they looked like the majority of them had undergone skin-graft surgery on their faces (Fran's face looks pretty decent), and Vaan looked a little malnourished. I really don't think that Vaan looks like he has a six-pack. Even if that's what the programers and designers were going after.
