Who's your idol?

Okay, so we got this english assignment which explains how a jorunalist's idol, sir edmund hilary, is the 1st one to climb everest. and we had to write the words of our article of whom our idol is!

and, guess what... I DONT HAVE ONE!!!

so i want to know who is your idol so that i could have some idea of it, you know!

Tupac shakur - My Idol because He Changed the way rap is looked at Now and inspired many other young rappers Like Eminem And T.I everything about his whole Life was controversial even His death. He goverment lied Just to get him locked up dan qualye the vice president even banned his albums from shops simply because tupacs songs were aimed at the problems facing young black males. He got shot 5 times in 1994 but that didn't stop him from being who is was. A lot of people would have just retired out of fear. apart from mentally strong he was in my opinion the best rapper ever and a talented actor. He never reached his full potential which was scary because he achieved so much and he was only 25 when he died.

I'll add more later and give you some more idea's i did this in school as well when i was 14

I don't think you need to have any one particular person to idolise for this assignment.

Most people will pick one person who happens to be a singer/actress and go "I wanna be just like them" which is fine, but I rather be a bit more down to earth and idolise groups of people who do things for the good of the world.

Conservationists, volunteers who help orphaned or sick animals etc.

My idols are those kind of people.

Thinking outside the box helps sometimes and strays away from the idea that idols are someone known by name and are famous and such.

Think along those lines and you may find the assignment a bit easier. If you try to think of famous people and then figure out what it is you like idolise in each one of them, it will probably take a while.

If you look for something that you know you're passionate about already, say it's fashion, research the subject and see what comes up.

You just can't pick any random name out of the hat. =)

Operating under the assumption we're talking about definition #2 here...I don't think there's anyone who really qualifies for this sort of thing. There are definitely people I admire and respect, but to adore someone blindly is a little over-the-top, in my opinion.

The fact is that all humans are flawed in some aspect, whether we notice those flaws or not. To follow someone blindly just isn't good practice. Again, I don't want to give the impression that it's wrong to admire/respect people and their accomplishments...but I don't have an idol in the strict sense of the word.

I dont really have one, theres plenty people whom i respect, way too many for me to post here, but in all honesty i dont have an idol. Theres no one i want to be like, im just me and thatl have to do. Maybe one day il be someones idol, thatd be awesome

Like Lagunas Dream, I don't have an "idol" just lots of people I respect and admire. In those types of assignments, people always choose really famous, inspirational people - like Nelson Mandela - and write on about them, or a close family member who they admire and all that. If you just think of someone you respect, just say that they are your "idol" easiest way to do it I think.

Dont freak out, but my idol (well one of them) has to be April Flores. Shes a porn star, and no Im not posting links or pics!!!

She is quite a big woman and has recently been in Bizzare magazine. I think she is such a stunner and I just love her. She doesnt care about her size or shape and thats what makes her amazing. Theres nothing wrong with "big" birds and she proves it. She just has such confidence and a loveable personality, you cant help but love her and admire her for what shes done.
