Who is the best out of Zell and Squall

Zell acts like a normal 17 year old hyper guy while Squall acts like a 50 year old troubled man...

Plus Zell as the most powerful limit break in the game and it´s not random like Squall therefore Zell owns Squall anyday!
 
actually when it comes to the power of a limit it goes Squall-strongest, Irvine second, and then zell. But in a way Selfie is most powerful, but it is rare to get. Squall's is unpredictable to a point depending on your accuracy, and the typr of bettle you are in.

You can't imagine Zell with that hyper personality forever you know.
But meh, getting too far ahead...

I think Squall is better mainly because of my bias towards sword fighting styles. Other than that, his limits were just cooler, in my opinion. Otherwise, I think they're mostly equal.
 
Zell is better because if Squall drops his gunblade he is in a hole load of trouble the only way Zell can lose his weapon short of gettin his hands cut off is if his hands were broken so he is better, and zell has a kickass tatoo on his face
 
yeah im pretty sure lionheart is the most powerful limit break in the game. even renzokuken alone is practically stronger then zell's limit break if your strong enough. squall owns zell as far as limit breaks go.

personality wise i thought zell was entertaining and his character was more interesting then squall's "lonewolf" style. however, i still liked squall better.
 
although zells limit can be stronger, throughout the game squall is by far the better character of the two
 
I think Squall was a tad too serious and needed some fun in his life. lol. Zell was overly excited sometimes but he seems better in my opinion.
 
Zell acted way over excited most of the time and he was a bit too eccentric, but he's got a good head on his shoulders and great moral attitude, I think he'd grow up to be a great leader or something. He's also ridiculously loyal to Squall, who, imo, disregards him and doesn't realize what a good friend he has right in front of him, since he's probably ashamed even to be seen around Zell. His limit break was really great, there's some vids on youtube that you should check out.

Squall is a lone wolf I guess, and that's fine but I think he needed to take his head out of his ass and see the real picture. The world doesn't revolve around his angst or Rinoa, but he's a good guy and I'll give him credit for having some compassion underneath all that black leather and mascara. But I think he only considers Rinoa's and his own feelings instead of the feelings, and sometimes well-being of other people.

Game wise in numbers and damage, Squall, but story wise, I'd have to say Zell
 
you know that some people say that squall is the best but i say that zell is because he have the best speed in the game
 
you now what DKnight you is right because squall is the best between him an zell. And the weapon that lionhart is the best weapion on finalfantasy 8.
 
I loved both characters, but I liked Squall more. Mainly for his weapon, limit breaks and character design.
Its strange to compare the 2 as they are completely different. If it were Siefer vs Squall, then maybe you would get a good debate.

im sure tht squall would beat zell because relli squall should be the main character for trainin and hes jsut the best character relli
 
Squall. he is infinitely better than Zell... Squall was sooo much stronger than Zell and like totally cool
 
Zell, in the original before it was toned down, Zell really could trash talk but squalls a pu**y so he cant be better than Zell there is no beating this logic XD Zell should have got the girl lol it was fixed.
