FFX-2 Which would you have preferred?

The idea of a prequel based on Braska initially sounded appealing to me. But I'm not sure about it tbh.. Seen as everyone already knows how everything will work out, SE would probably try to add some new story elements like Crisis Core did and tbqh I disliked most of the new story elements that were introduced in Crisis Core.

I definately would have preffered to have seen a B grade prequel instead of FFX-2 though.

Though I'm in the minority here, I loved FFX-2 and so wouldn't want them to change it for something else. Granted, the story certianly wasn't the best but the style was a welcome change as it showed that the developers are prepared to actually try something a little different. I wouldn't have really liked a prequel so much even if X-2 hadn't been around as I never really liked Jecht or Braska as characters, which would have left me supposedly with just Auron.

While Braska's journey would have been fun, we know how the whole journey pretty much played out. I'd much rather go back to the times of Yunalesca and see how that was.

Strangly enough, I think a prequal would have been very awesome. I do love X-2 though, like I read before in another's post, it was great to see how the characters developed over the two year span and all so I enjoyed that. And the ending was pretty good too, there were some moments in X-2 that I didn't really care for.

But I think it would have been fun to do a prequal with Braska, Jecht and Auron as the mains. Even if we did see the spheres in X that doesn't mean that other things could have happened too that weren't on the spehes. So either way, I think a prequal would have been awesome, but I also enjoyed the sequal as well.

I guess it would have been fun to get to see more of braskas journey but really, I'd rather play as 3 girls than 3 men.

Quoting one of the first posts, which is completely right.

Having it as a prequel would've been even more male-dominating. I personally loved X-2, it's one of my favorites, and that's because it lightened up the events of FFX with cheery characters who have strong senses of teamwork. Besides, a prequel might have been even more criticised. -_-

The idea is nice, but I always thought that Braska's team was somehow boring. Don't really know why, but that how I feel.
They didn't do interesting things like Yuna in FFX/FFX-2, so I rather have FFX-2 with the badass Shinra than a prequal with Braska.
