I use XP for my computer at home, but routinely connect to the school unix server for work on programming projects and the like.

I use XP - I very nearly went for a Mac when I bought my PC, but decided against it at the last minute.

And I'm definitely not cool enough for Linux ;_;

Used Windows XP since it came out. It's too reliable for me to confidently move to another, so I'm perfectly happy with what I have.

However when Vista is sorted out, I'm definitely getting it. Preferably one which is already installed to that laptop I have my eye on. :p

I'm currently using windows at the moment but I've used ubuntu linux
I'm tempted to buy an intel mac because of the ability to boot windows as well. (and linux with some configuring)

Hm I now use 4 diffrent OS's I have:

Windows 98
Windows XP
Windows XP Media center
Windows Vista Ultimate

I use them all for diffrent things.

i use windows XP mainly because it does what i want it to do :P my brother has windows vista on his laptop and its a load of rubbish TBH...

I have XP Professional Edition .... like that means much else

My uncle has Vista and it's corrupting his computer like crazy though. :P

I have Windows XP Professional but changed to Vista Premium and I don't have any problems at all for now. :D

I want Windows Vista Ultimate though the PS3.....it's still.....calling me....must buy.....NO, must resist

I have Windows XP on my laptop and Windows Vista on my new PC. Vista sucks now but it will be better in a year.

Now using Ubuntu "Feisty Fawn" 7.04 in GNOME -- this is simply the best OS. ^_^

Windows XP Professional. Using other OS is impossible for me to think, and Vista isn't too stabile to update, maybe later when I'm sure it will work as good as XP.

The Mac OS is close, but it more of a copycat to Linux. Not exact.

Anyways, as for me, I have to say windows for the current moment. Yes, the security holes are a problem, but that's where the fun comes in. I script it to patch those holes up using a different program, but that is me.

nononono, Linux isn't a copy cat of Mac OS, they are both derived from UNIX.
and if you already got vista, you are probably going to hell for being that dumb. I use Ubuntu Studio 7.04, and it's probably the best at the moment, its got Wine running, so I can run windows programs on it like Reason 3.0 with low-latency. It's also got a 3D cub desktop that I can spin around and see through. Pimpest thing evar.
