Which is the best format for the first two final fantasy games in terms of value, gameplay, graphics, replay value, extras, loading times etc...

I'd say that the PSP version is the best for both games. It's the most recent, so it understandably has the best graphics and it is the only version of FF1 and FF2 that I have actually been able to finish and enjoy whilst doing so.

They've added optional dungeons and have everything the other versions have (to my knowledge). So I think the PSP versions are the way to go.

PSP versions are the way to go. Stunning graphics, added extras as well as all the extras from the PS1 and GBA versions making them the definitive releases. Main gameplay and replay value are pretty much the same for all however minus the original NES versions ofcourse.

The only thing is that the PSP versions are seperate whilst PS1 and GBA versions come as a 2-game set. However the slicker graphics n'shizzle are definitly worth the extra price.

Stunning graphics? They're still sprite based so I don't see the fuss over them. Regardless of the shinyness and a few extra dungeons, it doesn't matter what you go for tbh.

i think the psp cause it has the best graphics on it, and it's portable, how can u say no to that?

Spirit based yes but still lush all the same. It's the way all the old FF's should have been remade and not 3D on the DS imo.
