I think these outfits suit each character well:

· Alchemist: Rikku is the only one who doesn't look totally hideous in this outfit
· Berserker - again, Rikku pulls this one off the best
· Black Mage - Paine pulls this one off, with Rikku in second
· Dark Knight - Paine
· Gun Mage - Yuna. This look is awful on Paine, and she plays weakly with it, too.
· Gunner - Yuna
· Lady Luck - Paine
· Mascot - Yuna
· Samurai - Yuna
· Songstress - Yuna and Rikku look cute.
· Thief -Rikku only.
· Trainer - all three look great. Yuna's is the best.
· Warrior - Paine, naturally. Rikku.
· White Mage - Yuna, Rikku

*Rikku obviously. the dressphere itself is Al Bhed, which Rikku is 100% of.
· Berserker
*I find it suits Yuna really well. I can't decide if it's because red is her colour or because she looks best in it or what.
· Black Mage
*Yuna.
· Dark Knight
*Fucken Rikku. She has a sick and free attitude while wearing a bad ass Dark Knight outfit. Fuck yeah. This is actually my favourite one for Rikku period.
· Gun Mage
*Probably Yuna. It's basically an upgrade from her default. And by upgrade, I don't mean because it's a stronger dressphere. I mean the colours suit her better and so does the outfit overall.
· Gunner
*Paine pulls it off much better than Yuna does. Each girl is badass and sexy in their own way, but Paine's way suits this dressphere best. Yuna's doesn't at all. I never really saw Yuna as a gunner to begin with anyway.
· Lady Luck
*Paine. She's graceful and sexy as hell.
· Mascot
*Fuck, Rikku, I guess. I dunno, I never got this dressphere.
· Samurai
Probably Yuna. I don't know. Paine maybe. Not Rikku, that's all I know for sure.
· Songstress
*Yuna. Rikku looks/acts like a child and Paine is just an embarrassment in this shit.
· Thief
*Yuna's outfit is the hottest/best looking one, but it suits Rikku better.
· Trainer
*They all manage to fit into this one nicely in their own ways.
· Warrior
*Yuna. If there wasn't so much armor, I'd want this to be her default.
· White Mage
*Yuna, I guess. The White Mage outfits look stupid, but I dunno, she was a cleric in X, so I guess this makes the most sense.

 

[Gaige]

Alchemist: Rikku all the way. It's very Al Bhed-like in design, not to mention the whole Alchemy job was down to Rikku in the original Final Fantasy X, so if I had to choose someone to take this role in X-2, it'd be Rikku.

· Berserker: I would have thought Paine, but Paine's more quietly tough than out and out berserk most of the time, so this again suits Rikku in my eyes.


· Black Mage
I find the whole theme of black magic, as well as her quotes while in this dressphere, give Paine the edge. Rikku and Yuna just look a little goofy, though they still wear the outfit well enough.

· Dark Knight
Again, Paine, because it just suits her better than the other two, who don't really have their darker personalities exposed in this game, while Paine is kinda the superego and the maturity in the trio, and handles pain and sacrifice a little better than the other two.
· Gun Mage
Yuna suits this more. Her design and her quotes are much better in the Gun Mage dressphere than the other two, though Paine pulls it off relatively well.


· Gunner
Paine looks so calm and composed in this dressphere, right down to her attack. Look how slow she lifts that gun. XD (Though it's seriously annoying when you want her to just shoot. ) Yuna is a close second, while Rikku just gives the impression of "....Durr, where's the trigger on dis thing?"

· Lady Luck
Paine again, because she just wears this outfit with her usual confidence and grace, just like Catnip's already said, and seems really calm even though she's literally toying with fate and chance.

· Mascot
Rikku, for sheer comedic effect.

· Samurai.
Paine really. She's shown with a sword right off the bat, and with so many of the Samurai abilities revolving around sheer power and even instant death, it just suits her in my eyes.

· Songstress
Yuna. It's almost certainly intentional, but Paine just looks clunky and weird, though her voice is good. Rikku is annoying/can't sing and Yuna just suits it both storyline and gameplay wise.
· Thief
Rikku. Again her natural job in Final Fantasy X, so I can't imagine anybody else

· Trainer
Rikku and Paine in equal measure, because their pets suit them. Yuna's seems a little out of place, though I guess since it's Yojimbo's dog, it fits a little. Just seems a little out of place to me. Personal taste, I suppose.

· Warrior
Paine suits this to me, though the nostalgic taste on Yuna having Tidus' sword and Rikku Auron's (I think) is kinda nice too. I just feel Paine suits the class more with her quotes and general image in this default dressphere.

· White Mage
Yuna, again because aside from summoning, being a healer and buffer was her job if you followed her Sphere Grid path exclusively without deviation. Paine's quotes are pretty entertaining, but Yuna will always be the most prominent White Mage in my eyes.
