When did you first play this game?

i first played it two weeks ago - i was dieing in bed - i was so ill and i bought FFIV with my birthday money ^_^ at least i had something to do when i was dieing :)

I first played this one back when it came out for the SNES and I LOVED IT! >< It was fun to play a game at the time with an involving storyline, plot twists and dynamic characters.

My friend give away his games to me. On one them was FFIV, but it wasn't written the name. So I tried it, love it, pass it.

First time I played it was when I was 13, played the SNES version but stopped after awhile because my save was corrupted.
I continued with the PSX version after a long while, and finished it.

when did i first play this game?

Tell you the truth, this for me was the 1st final fantasy i ever played. For its time it was a great game that did take some skill, though the game had far too many encounters (hello final fantasy VI) where every 2nd step was a battle (YEESH), at least number 4 wasnt that bad. 1995 is when i played this game on my nintendo, and was a hit for me and my niece as well as my nephew got into it later on.

I played this game when i rented Final Fantasy Chronicles ( FFIV and Chrono Trigger remade for the PS ) and it was fun, but for some reason, i had such a hard time on the boss that gives the ruby for Rosa.

When I was about 8 years old I guess. Early 1994-ish. I didn't like it at first. XD I rented it along with "Lufia and the Fortress of Doom" (who remembers THAT one?) and was more entranced with the latter. But I gave "FFII" (as it was called) another shot, and I almost immediately asked for it for Christmas. ^^

I played it afwe years ago for the PS1, I never did complete it either, I got to some red looking underworld thing and I couldnt work out where to go from there..... Gunna replay it again soon I finally got it for the DS

For me, I first played this game for the SNES. It was my first RPG game I played and ever since then I had fell in loved with the FF series.

I started playing the GBA version at the beginning of the year. But my file got deleted, so I got pissed off and put it down for about a month. Then I started playing again and got stuck at Dark Bahamut in the Lunar Subterrane , this also pissed me off so I put the game down for a while. I only just beat it a few months ago.

I got my version as soon as it was released on the Playstation as FF: Anthology along with FF5.
I got to the
Baigan
boss fight and got stuck. I left it a few years, and then beat him, and went on to beat the game soon afterwards. One of the most enjoyable experiences of my life. :D

I played this back when it first came out in the US, either 1991 or 1992 I forget which. I do remember I didn't buy it when it first came out, I rented it from Blockbuster Video... and played someones save game from the
Antlion cave to Mt. Ordeals
before I had to take it back. I bought it soon after and played it with my cousin, we kinda were competing to see whos party was more badass at the end of the game. I beat the game then lent it to one of my friends and he let one of his friends borrow it and I never saw it again.

Then I bought the PS1 version when it came out, I remember hating the load time for the menu screen... but otherwise it was a good emulation. I got to the moon and couldn't beat the
boss thats guarding Masamune... or was it Murasame,
I always get them confused.

I also got the DS version when it came out, but
they gimped Cecil's Darkness
ability so it really turned me off to the game... I'm sure if I'd just get past that part it'd be fine, but I really like
Cecil as a Dark Knight.

I'm planning on getting the GBA version soon since its the best of the sprite based ones. This one is my favorite Final Fantasy. The story and the characters are just awesome.
