What's the latest assignment you've handed in?

So just curious about how late of an assignment you've had, and was it accepted or not?

Right now I'm sitting on things I should handed in, damn, at least 2 weeks ago. I had personal issues that got in the way, but I can't see that going well explaining to profs as a justified reason, but I'm hoping they'll let me do some extra credit stuff when I do hand in the late stuff.

In highschool, I think I had one history essay I didn't hand in until the last day of school that was due well over a month before X_x

So anyone else with moments of slack?

When I was in high school, 10% was taking off you note for each day that your assignment was not handed in. So after 10 days it was 0. I was doing very well in exams so I was slacking off with my assignments, especially in English (second language) and in biology. I hated those subjects so much. When I had an oral presentation to do, I was missing the class to get more time to prepare myself but I ended up doing it anyway. I was a last minute guy in high school and ended up with a couple of zeros for a couple of assignments I didn't do or handed very late.

I did the same thing when I went to college and failed two semesters in two different programs (sciences and social sciences). After a long break of school, I'm back to college in computer sciences and I'm a model student. I won't fail this time.

Interesting thread indeed .
The latest assignment I turned in was this giant pamplet project we had to do last year in English. Considering I was sick for a week before the actual due date, I had very little time to do it before then - so my teacher let me work on it still. It was about 3 weeks later that I actually finished it and turned it in - and thank GOD she accepted it. No points taken off ~

Oh, latest as in after the due date

In which case...uhh...I haven't really. There's been homework at school I've forgot to do and bring it in the next day or something but nothing terrible.

That would probably be my science coursework for Biology in my last year of school. I was never a big fan of the subject, especially since my old school became a Science College halfway through and we had to take double science for our GCSEs.

And the teacher I had to hand it in to was a bitch. She took our form for the last few months because our old one got a job offer elsewhere. I remember collecting my class photo and she was all, "You should be focusing on your coursework."

I've paid for this and only came to collect it, but that's what you say? Needless to say, I didn't like her at all. Especially since she only talked about herself during lessons. But that's why I probably never learned anything at all.

Actually the latest assignment I've yet to turn in is this 4 page English paper I've been sitting on for well over a month. Thing is, he said turning in the 3 parts were optional. So long as he had the whole by the end of the semester.

If he gives me a late grade for it, I'm SO bringing this technicality up.

At uni I don't think I've ever handed anything in late. At high school I tended to slack off a fair bit but I was still able to hand everything up on time. I guess in high school I had that mentality that told me to hand everything in time regardless of how shit it was. In uni I try to leave myself plenty of time so I can do a decent job.
