What Makes You Join A Forum?

Well when i was bored and want to help people on the forums if they are stuck.
Also because too make more friends:lol:
 
I usually look at the size of a forum before joining it. If it has a shit load of members then I get a bit put off for some reason. I usually see how active it is (By looking at Last Post dates) and if it's quite active then I sign up :P Although it has to have interesting threads too.
 
I usually sign up to a forum if I like what the forum is about (like FFF) or if ive been using the main site for a longtime (like MiniClip) or referral from friends, for help, or just to access the forums if registration is required.
 
The main forums I go on are this and Nexgear, both of which seem to dislike me. Well, the people in charge anyway. I join them probably cause of the people. That's why I dislike n00bs. Cause they are new which disrupts my normal behavior.
 
Lotsa nice people, pretty good size so I have lots to look at, and... I like some of the forums that have the HP/MP/EXP, things where you can actually battle using your stats, which go up from posting. And you could buy and sell weapons, create clans... I love that! There was even a forum one time that I joined where you could even get married to another member! I loved that, it was so fun.
 
I did join here by DarkBlades invitate. He invitated me from other forum. I just checkedout the forums and they were great so i decised to join.
 
the different topics and the members i still don't know.
cause i like meeting new people i've never had the chance to know before.
 
Mostly the community, if it's too crowded like IGN ill probably never join, if it's a little like FFF then ill join, I quit the forum if the people are nasty...
 
i like joining forums that have nice topics and people

i dont like forums where people swear all the time because it is annoying
 
I join forums that are fun, or to steal some ideas for a really great forum that is dying. Please, save the forum! Click here!
 
In my case, it depends on some factors like, daily activity, quality of the overall posts, number of members, the skin, the forums and their sub forums, the basic you know. If the Forum is new, I may stay while and help, if they don't help themselves (Forums) and lose activity, I leave.
 
staff, size, ect. I won't join a forum with only about 3 people, nor will I join one with 10,000 people

But once I join, I don't care how many after that........

well, I did join nexgear as member 100,000 something........
 
Normaly I only pick things that I like, FF for example or Naruto.

But I also look at how proffesional it is. Do they take themselves seriously and will they be around for a long time. And how many threads and posts they have. Not to mention organization. That is a very big key. And the members. If no one wants to say hi to me in intros then it's not worth it.

But you won't believe how I registered here. I decided to do a Yahoo search of my Username and found that someone had made a comment about me and chocobos. I was curious enough to sign up just to see that post. And when I looked around this place reminded me alot of Advent Children but not as busy so I decided to join.
