I am currently in the mindset to make my very own light novel with the odd anime drawing in it to show off characters. I have two types of stories that I have in mind for this. A fantasy medieval style ala 'Sword Art Online' and a more modern one in a style like Death Note, obviously they are just examples of a style I would like to portray.

I would like some help down the line and may even show you some of what I am writing up.

But the main question for my research is what about anime do you want in it most and what is the most and least like thing you see in them?

You all for character development?
Great Action?
Believable world?

I hate how most them treat women in their stories. Talk Naruto for a example, most of them are either eye candy for the male readers or they are nursers that help and aid the men. Some of them look like they might become strong and powerful fighters but they are "held back " Naruto's Mom Sakura, Tenten Temari, Hinata. It just pissed me off so much I stopped reading and watching it a few years ago.

If the female is strong usually she has to be a sex object like Yoko from Tengen Toppa. Yes some male characters are used are sex objects too, but they are always treated with respect and usually become stronger characters unless he's the pervert stereotype or is meant to be a clown.

It just really annoys me. I don't think that I can think of a anime chick that's strong and isn't treated like a toy for fapping fanboys at the same time.

I also hate how women are portrayed I. Shonen manga. The o ly time they seem realistic is k a seinen.

But what I love about anime that I noticed when I first saw digimon was how realistic they portray their worlds. And more modern shows such as those were great. In most western shows, they portray the world as it accepts all these oddities, but not I anime, and if it does, it allows the viewer to know why.

Twelve Kingdoms and Utena do a good job at portraying women, if you want a recommendation.

What I love about anime is we get stories that you don't see in western storytelling. Yeah it gets cliched after a while but it's nice to have something different once in a while. (Full Metal Alchemist, Death Note)

What I hate, the anime cliches. Characters yelling out attacks, episodes devoted to powering up, stupid blond characters, over use of fan service, moe, same characters is nearly every story
