There could be room for a slight repeat in things, with Fang and Vanille waking up and such. But I would have really liked to have seen something about what the characters got up to after the end of the game. So there's room there for it.
But it would defnitely need a good few years before it comes out, there's Versus and Agito to come still. I doubt they'd bring a new one out if they still have the rest of the main series to bring out.

Well I have a feeling once they confirm that they are going to make XIII-2 if they do, It will be before or after Versus. Maybe around the same time as Agito or even Versus. They have different teams working I believe. The main reason why I want a XIII-2 is for them to tell the story better. It was poorly constructed in the last 2 chapters.
 
An XIII-2 is up there the same a FFVII remake for me. DO NOT WANT.

SE don't need to make an XIII-2 so they shouldn't, it's only to keep the fans of XIII happy, and even then I can only see a minority calling out for an XIII-2 due to Versus coming up. I can see it going the way of X-2 and the ten million FFVII sequels and prequels. Epic fail.

I vote for not wanting one, for the sole fact there's no need for one.
 
Its a good chance but it wouldnt be like X-2(square enix got drunked making this game) we wont hear about it now cu that will encourage fans to stop playing 13,maybe like in 2 years we will get an announcement of a sequel. The story would be about snow and serahs private lives, with original characters returning,and a new villain,not as tough as the priest.

You don't want one, but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen.

I guess people still don't realize that buying a sequel to a game is your choice, nobody is making you buy anything.
 
No, I fully realise that I don't have to buy it. However, if it's not needed then SE shouldn't put you in the predicament of whether you should buy it or not. As others have mentioned, it's a waste of time and effort which could be put into something more productive like developing the weaker points of FFXIII for future games.

If you want a definite answer of whether it will happen or not. No I don't think it will, there's nothing to say SE should consider an XIII-2.
 
We realize it, I think we would just rather not see it made due to it being a waste of time (at the moment), a waste of resources, (at the moment), and they could be spending their valuable time on much better things... (FFVersusXIII, FFAgitoXIII, FFXIV, FFXV)

However, it's probably going to happen. Like I said: Final Fantasy XIII-2: The Quest for More Money. :elmo:

The personal insults are amusing, however, I could argue the complete opposite and say why isn't it a waste of time? If Square Enix wanted a to make mass amount of money and to please the fans they'd go remake Final Fantasy VII which is in far more of a demand than FFXIII-2 ever will be.

You're jumping to conclusions, I happened to thoroughly enjoy FFXIII whereas Rincewind didn't but we still came to similar conclusions. Personally, I just don't feel the need for an XIII-2 when one isn't needed. Like I said above, if Square Enix wanted to make a huge amount of money, increase their reputation and popularity they'd go ahead and remake Final Fantasy VII which is far more of a demand, hence another reason I don't think XIII-2 will be made.
 
theres still projects in the way,even a VII remake would come b4 an announcement of XIII-2 for sure,dont expect a sequel when its prequel just came out,even if you fully beat the game.

I think the question of a sequel most likely depends on the overall success of XIII, and at this point it's probably too soon to tell. If it contributes something valuable to the series I'd support it, but another X-2 scenario would be regrettable.
