This year was very different.
A long time ago when we were young and I still lived at home, we would open one present and one present only. The present used to be pretty small, too; something insignificant--a stocking stuffer, really.
Now that I live on my own, I used to drive out to my mom's to stay the night, help wrap presents, etc. I'd wake up the next morning and then celebrate Christmas, but this year we didn't do that. I had plans on Christmas eve and my mom decided it would be too much of a hassle for me to drive out there, which it kind of was. In any case, I didn't come to the house until Christmas morning with my older brother.
