So I'm making a thread to dump all of my things. You can look at them I guess, if you'd like. You can also comment on them; I don't really mind. And if you're going to give negative criticism, please make it constructive at the very least. (Constructive positive criticism is also encouraged, I suppose, since this isn't a spam area.)

I'm just uploading one right now, since I just finished it a little while ago. You'll notice that I tend to be incredibly lazy when it comes to backgrounds. I'm just no good at them.

(I don't know what the best way to post these is, so I suppose I'll just make it an attachment for now, since I don't want to mess with the forum's proportions.)

This one is an original character named Dent. He's a pretty okay guy, some people think.

Probably more to come in the future!
 
Very nice work, West! One thing that I really noticed in detail was the forearm. Great proportion and lighting. The hands are also another major point there. I think you managed to capture that quite well. Hair is good - strands are definite. Overall great job, and keep it up! Looking forward to more from you. =]
 
Thanks, you two! I really need to get around to either making more new stuff or finding some old stuff pretty soon. It's weird to have an art thread with just one thing in it.

Well, here's something new: an outside assignment I did for my Life Drawing class that I finished about two weeks ago. We were only told two things before making it: (1) that it had to be done in conté, and (2) that the theme was "Hands & Feet". This is the idea that popped into my head immediately, and I think it translated well onto paper.

Is that meant to be the paper, scissors, rock game?

It's very well detailed and the hands are drawn brilliantly! I always have a hard time trying to draw hands.

The shading looks fantastic as well!
