hi i put this up because i heard some people say that its really good and some say its the crappiest one. so i did this to see what you realy thought of it.

i liked it, its not my favorite FF game ever but it's also not my most hated FF game, i found the story line ok i quess and the characters were ok but the garment grid system i didn't like that much it was frustrating

Its an average game but no way up to Final Fantasy standard. Definately the worst I've played in the series.

The storyline just fails
The battle system fails
The bosses just fail
The fact that it is just a load of random missions fails
The difficulty just fails (too easy)
The graphics were good ^_^
So overall it's shit

In a FFX sequel I would of liked to use characters such as Wakka or Kimarhi but it picks the most boring two characters and puts together a crappy storyline.

well

it wasn't the worst game i've played by far, but i still hated it.
i hated the story, i hate pain in general, she seems like to much of.. i dunno...
a bull dike replacement for lulu >_>'
and the mini games -_- i hated the mini games.
i normally like mini games, i like most fo the ones in x, but this game.
and last on my complaint list, they ruined blitz ball.
you no longer have control over play o_O wtf....

other then that, lovely art work (excluding pain) and wonderful graphics ^_^
this dress spheres was a nice touch, although hunting for those memory spheres was a stupid idea, much to stupid to revolve the story around it >_>
i did like the final dresses ^_^ well, not pains >_> he's was kinda... ugly, and sorta dumb looking >_>
i've tried finding good in pain, find something to make her worth putting up with, but you know, i can't find anything good about her. ^_^
sorry paine fans. ^_^

bottom line, loved the graphics, art, dress spheres, and final dresses, aswell as the battle system.

but, i hate everything that has to do with pain, the mini games, the story line, the mini quests, and what they did to blitz ball..
so over all, i'll never play it again ^_^

My brother bought this game for me. After looking at the cover then reading up on it I exchanged it for another game before even opening it. It just looked to girly for me. I mean an all girl band on tour fighting evil along the way. No thanks. I like FF as much as the next guy but no game is going to make me play out that storyline.

I used to really hate this game when I first played it, but...The more and more I play it the more alright it seems.

The soundtrack bothered me at first, but some of the themes are pretty cool.
Lack of good blitzball = fail.
Story line = Fails everything but that romantic in me.
Missions = ghey
Brother being a main-ish character = more ghey.

The only thing that I really, actually thought was sort of amusing was Dress spheres. I always like different and original leveling up things. Though they were way to easy to level up.

I thought it was alright, definitely not my favorite, but being a fan of FFX I still enjoyed playing it.

What do I really think? Minus the changed characters, this game should’ve been added as a secondary disc to FFX, one large collection of sidequests that contain hidden bonus ending.

The battle system was the only thing that kept this game worth playing. Until I mastered all the classes...then I just stopped playing.

Its one of my fav Final Fantasy games. People see it as girly and childish because of that. But I think its great for female final fantasy fans, plus the OST and dresspheres are amazing.

Its of average standard, the worst of a good bunch of FF games, that is why it is dwelled upon.

I think it was a decent game, and it gets a lot of crap for being a double stigma within the Final Fantasy franchise:

1: It's radically different from other FFs by taking the RPG genre and trying to make it more girl-friendly (which I'll even admit failed), and also much more bubbly, bouncy, and even campy.

2: It's also the first direct sequel to a FF, which people still cry about today. It also didn't help that Square decided to go with the radically different approach and use it on a direct sequel to FFX.

It certainly doesn't stack up to many of the numbered FFs and definitely not its predecessor, but it doesn't make it an all-out bad game. Some missions were fun, some were blah, but apart from the campiness, there is a good underlying story going on. The Shuyin/Lenne thing and Shuyin's obsession to activate Vegnagun, and the Crimson Squad subplot were all pretty sweet, and a nice addition to the FFX story.

However, I will agree with a few comments made thus far. I too was never fond of Paine. I commented elsewhere that she looked like she might as well be a Joan Jett/Pat Benetar-style '80s rocker. I also didn't like the Dressphere/Garment Grid system too much at first, but it grew on me to the point where it didn't bother me anymore, and it's not the easiest system to grasp (at first, at least) either.

So overall, it's not the best in the FF series, but it's not a throwaway entry either. Just my opinion, though.

Just finished it. Had brought it around the time it was released but stopped playing when I saw I had missed like .2% and couldn't get the perfect ending. Was on break from school and figured I'd finish it up anyway and just watch the perfect ending on YouTube.

Overall, I liked the story. It wasn't as epic as other FF games, but it got the point across and was enough to make me care about it. And like someone else said, it triggered the romantic in me.

I really didn't like the mission-based system though, it made telling the story very hard because of all the stupid stuff spread in between. The battle system was fairly entertaining, but the battles were way too easy. This is honestly the first game I've played where I could've probably beaten the final boss just by using the generic 'Attack' command and healing - and I wasn't even close to lvl99. My only character who had 9999 HP was Yuna and that was only after I used Howl from the Beserker dressphere.

Overall, I enjoyed the game but hate the principal of having to get 100% to see the perfect ending. I could see doing something else extremely difficult like beating Trema or something like that, but 100% completion means you're screwed if you didn't talk to some random guy in some random town during some random chapter to get a useless random item.

To top it all off, the 'Good' ending is way better than the 'Perfect' ending anyway.

It's...okay. I mean, i loved the battle system but the story line was lammeeee. haha. It was just bleh. So, it would get a 7/10 for me.

I didn't really like it, and I love X!

The storyline: Terrible, in honesty.
The characters:
...They killed Yuna... They really did. Right until the end she was some hyper, brainless slut! >_< It was only towards the end of the game I felt any strings pulled. I only felt emotion when she's following the Moogle around Luca (and that's a mini game!) and remembers Tidus, and when she has to kill the Aeon. Other than that, I felt nothing. And it should be more upsetting than that. =/
The gameplay: Well, I hated the missions, I hated the spheres generally, I hated some of the battles, but I didn't dislike the battle system. It was somewhat fun.
The graphics: As good as Xs. I did like them, and thought they were good.
The music: Now this is one thing I enjoyed most. 1000 Words, Eternity, Yuna's Ballad...beautiful. Some of the tracks still sucked though.
The FMVs: Hey, I loved them. There were few, but I loved them. They really help with music videos, too. So, yeah, that's one thing I give it high credit for.

I thought it was the worst FF ever... It just didnt appeal to me in any way. Far too girly and stupid. With some really silly ideas like dressspheres, and songstress fighters. The 3 main characters were extremely annoying at times. To be fair, I did enjoy some of the mini-games. But the main gameplay was really stunted and unimaginative.

i also found the idea of dress spheres pointless and wot was the point in the fayths coming back throughout the games because i thought they just disappeared at the end of ff10.
