Wakka, that's enough Wakka!

Wakka? "Stoopid Shoopuff" xD.

Anyways, Wakka was so freaking stubborn and hard-headed. He never wanted to just accept his brother was gone. I know it has to be super hard for one to do but...you have to accept it to get over it, right? Then when ever he heard something slightly wrong about Yeavon he pretened to ignore it.

When his bubble was busted, he didn't know what to do...so, na, I didn't feel sorry for him really.
Well, he did accept it at some point. Like when he saw him in the Farplane, or punched Luzzu. :D

Didn't feel sorry for him at all. This game was a gerat reflection of the reality of our world. We need to stop hiding bhind faith in the face of evidence and be logical and reasonable. Dogma is an insult to human intelligence and Spira did well to be rid of it.

The way he punched Luzzu was greaat. <3. lol.

But, still does not make me feel sorry for Wakka. He hated the Al-Bhed for something they have not done. For using machina? The machines helped out alot (most times). It urked me the way he treated Rikku after he found out about her.

i have to say i feel sorry for him

i mean come on, he was born into a world where the teachings of yevon had been going on for a thousand years, and was brought up to believe in the teachings along with everybody else.

i dont mean to blow my own trumpet but i study pyschology, and the fact that everybody follows the religion makes you follow it, we wouldnt know as we now live in a multi culutural world, but its been scientifically proven that if everybody starts telling you the same thing for a long period of time then you will start to believe in it youself, and thats what it was like for wakka, everybody told him to follow Yevon, and not to use machina, and as a result most people followed those teachings as it was the only thing that gave them hope.

and for the whole wakka hating al bead, the teachings state that you should not use machina, so in a way he may blame the al bead for sin still being present, and then when his brother used machina he died afterwards, it probably pushed him into believing that machina was even more wrong and that using it will result in death.

I study psychology myself. And its the very fact that one is brought up assuming said religion is fact, and never being taught to evaluate evidence taht makes them so sure. Things like Social Learning would come into it as well (as stated many times by Bandura ...1969 I think)

Wakka, in my opinion, is funny, but only in small doses. For the little while it was just him and Tidus, Wakka began to grate on my nerves. I was glad when he was pushed down a little later in the game.

I found that Wakka's stubbornness showed the worst in him. I still think he was right in believing what he did, but not accepting what he saw during his travels with Yuna and the others showed his stubbornness and that's why people dislike him :-\ It's his personality you can't change it lol
