Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada has provided some clarification on his statement from yesterday that seemed to suggest Final Fantasy Versus XIII was a possibility for Xbox 360. The clarification came, expectedly, through Wada's frequently updated Twitter.
Tweeted Wada early Wednesday (around 6:00AM): "It looks like the 'net is heating up. Versus on Xbox? What I said at the earnings press conference was just that until the launch time frame is formally announced, all points about all titles are not finalized."
So it looks like we probably shouldn't jump the gun on Final Fantasy Versus XIII being multiplatform, until Don Mattrick gets a magic tap on the shoulder at E3 from Tetsuya Nomura.
Speaking of Nomura, it would nice to have the Versus director weigh in on this, don't you think? Unfortunately, Nomura appears to be the only Japanese game developer who doesn't have a Twitter account. He occasionally channels his thoughts through the Square Enix Members Twitter, but this doesn't sound like a topic that would be covered there.
Wada also used his Twitter account to clarify a few other points from the press conference.
A follower said he was shocked when he saw that Last Remnant was not on a slide that seemed to show the IPs that Square Enix hopes to strengthen. Wada responded that the slide, was not the list of IPs Square Enix hopes to strengthen, but was just meant to show that Square Enix has a bunch of properties. There's no meaning in the listed names.

please let it be a ps3 only, its way better that way, xbox cant handle the goodness from versus. I also hope they will show more info at the e3, I cant wait. Judging by all the statements its unlikely we get to see anything..however maybe they will do it as a surprise lol

) but it still stands that the company almost died due to the vision of one of its directors/producers (Sakaguchi was vice-president at that point I think)
