>_> My creative name. Get over it. First attempt at a character in this format! LET’S GO

OPRG/URPG/RPB - ORPG/URPG/RPB

Name - Claret Xiong

Title - The Dragon Warrior

Class - Dragon Warrior: Similar to a typical warrior, but with the ability to manipulate the elements into their attacks through various dragon related skills.

Alignment - Chaotic Good

Race - Human

Gender - Female

Age - 17 Earth Years

Appearance -
With long, deep red hair and sparkling sapphire eyes, Claret is a strikingly pretty young woman - or so she is constantly told. Her deeps eyes are almond in shape, framed by thick and luxurious lashes. It is perhaps her eyes that are the defining feature of her face, for despite being human, her pupils are slitted much like a dragon; thus earning her the title of The Dragon Warrior. Her skin has a very slight tanned look to it, almost a soft and creamy caramel in color. With her hair brushing her rear, she tends to wear it loose and flowing in a fashion that has it feathering slightly around her delicate face. Her lips are a pale cherry in color, full and womanly is just the right way that they accentuate her natural beauty.

Her voice matches her looks – a crystal clear clarity that could sing the birds from the skies and calm the wildest of waves if she so desired – yet she does not use it at her weapon. She tends to use it to calm her brothers and to soothe them to sleep. Her body is naturally slim though she works out to keep her muscles strong. Her bust is womanly, curvy and large, tapering perfectly into the rest of her body. Her skin is flawless, not a freckle or blemish in sight.

Although her appearance can seem a little intimidating, Clarets’ face shows the true softness of the young woman and at a nice rounded height of 5’9’’, Claret towers over her mother and her friends. Because of her height, Xiong has long; slender legs that, as the saying goes, seem got go on forever. Said legs flow nicely into her rear, which like the rest of her, is toned to what she believes to be perfection. Although, deep down, Claret feels there is so much more she could work on.

Attire - Claret’s attire consists of a pair of short, white skirt, a dark tan belt around the waist. A top matching the skirt covers her upper body, tight around her chest. It is more a long strip of material, wrapped once around her bust before going over her left shoulder creating a sort of sleeve to the elbow on that side. A similar sort of belt to that around her waist wraps around her torso, just beneath her chest. Though roguish in appearance, the outfit has a distinctly Chinese look to it, decorative flowers showing up it in the right lights.

Claret wears soft tan boots that reach almost to her knee and she tends to hide her fans within them. A fingerless, dark glove covers her right hand and a strip of material in the same color wraps around her left wrist and over the palm of that hand. She also dons a simple, earthy cloak when in the wilderness or simply traveling. This allows her to hide her form, giving her a more childlike appearance. The rest of her attire is made up by her armor, which she wears all the time.

Despite being a warrior, Xiong’s armor is light and versatile. A thin plate covers her left hip, looking more decorative than practical, though Claret is the first to admit that is offers more protection that first noticeable. The girl wears bracers around the top half of her arm, though these appear to be nothing more than simple armlets. They are, however, as hard as steel and incredibly effective at protecting her arms in close combat situations.

To protect her head, a circlet; the design matching that of her hip guard. It was because of her run in with a highly skilled archer that Claret decided the need to protect her head was great. She also has guards over her shins, though these are not always on show as she switches between wearing them beneath and over her boots, though in either case, the metal covers the top half of her feet, making her kicks pack more than a simple punch.

Personality - Claret is a rather difficult person to describe. On the one hand, she is your typical, everyday teenager who appears to have no other care in world but getting through each day, causing as much mayhem as possible in the process. Of course, most of this is to simply hide her feelings of her relatively short, but more than eventful past. She is usually quite vibrant and mischievous, someone many could possibly refer to as a scamp or a rogue. This naturally, cheeky charm is Claret’s biggest attraction as she uses it to break past barriers and gain the trust of others.

However, on the other hand, Claret has a terrible temper. This can flare up at any given moment with only a flush on her cheeks as a forewarning to the tirade coming on. She can be abrasive and rude, judgmental and just a little bit cattish in her remarks. However, these tempers dissipate as quickly as they appear, but have helped earned her the title of being ‘quite hot headed’. But out and out, Claret is a witty, charming thing with people’s best interests at heart. She had once worked only for herself, but gave up that selfish life to help the more needy with her talents. Fighting for the underdog is more her style anyway. She has what some might call a potty mouth, in that she doesn’t care about the foul language that tumbles from her lips.

Claret demonstrates a great ability and need to control her external environment. She is incredibly extroverted, not really caring what others think about, nor about giving off good first impressions. Yet, social urges are more mature and fully expressed than people realize – friendships are incredibly important to Claret. She also manifests a strong urge to share and take part in serious and fulfilling relationships, whether these are romantic or platonic.

Xiong has a heightened sense of awareness of what is going on around her, perhaps greater than that of most she knows. Able to judge a target and their impulses, not to mention the ability to gauge their reactions, are just a few things the warrior is extremely skilled in.

Claret is not particularly fond of new beginnings, preferring to struggle through than to take the easy route and just start over. She is incredibly daring and loves a challenge, and can become quite aggressive when it comes to her creative notions and she believes that personal goals are sometimes the most important. Xiong is also courageous to the point of recklessness and will flare up at anyone if she feels they are going against her.

Xiong knows she has many flaws and is far from perfect, but she does what she can with what she has at her disposal.

First Impression - The initial impression is that Claret is almost a dismissive young girl with no real need to let others past her guard. She appears to only be out for herself whilst maintaining an aura of mystery that can be somewhat intriguing, but on the off-hand, may be a little off-putting. Her tendency to jump to conclusions based on her own first impression of others is also more of a deterrent to some, though breaking past this tough facade, Xiong is far more pleasant. Her caustic attitude and occasional hot temperament misleads others into thinking she is constantly bitchy. Those lucky few, who catch her on a good day, would see her for what she really was.

Strength - Although a warrior, Claret has not focused her training upon her strength and therefore likes the physical brutality many would expect of someone in her profession. This is not to say she is weak, but by the stereotypical warrior standards, she ranks average at best. Her punches pack less of a punch than her kicks. An unarmored opponent would take perhaps 15 damage, armor decreasing this dramatically. Her kicks are more in the range of perhaps 30 to an unarmored opponent at the very apex of her strength.

Speed - What she lacks in physical dominance, Claret more than makes up for with her speed. Able to run three miles in just over seventeen minutes, her speed is something the warrior has trained the best part of her life upon. She is able to dodge pretty swiftly and attacks with precise, fast strikes. Bare-handed and with her weapon of choice, her attack speed is roughly the same of around two seconds.

Endurance -
Taking attacks deals a hefty toll on Claret's endurance. However, when it comes to attacking, she could go for around two hours before any decrease in her striking speed became instantly noticeable. Never having fully tested herself, Claret knows she is capable of running at least nine miles before having to take snap break. She could probably go further than this, but much like a cheetah, Xiong works better in swift and rapid bursts of speed as opposed to long drawn out shows of speed.

Reflexes -Like a cat, Claret is pretty fast with her reflexes, able to react within an estimated two seconds in close combat, double this if short-range against longer ranged weapons such as guns or bows. She is also pretty quick at noticing she is under attack. At normal gun or bow range, Claret is able to effectively dodge if she notices the attack in the first second of it being released. However quick her reflexes are, damage to the appropriate limb significantly hinders her reaction times.

Fighting Style - As probably expected, Claret is a master of the Dragon Style when fighting both with and without her fans. It is through this art that Claret trained her body and disciplined her speed over physical strength. Her hand attacks - though weaker than her leg attacks - are incredibly swift and because she focuses all her movements at her waist, dodging and blocking are easy movements for her to pull off. Xiong's attacks and movements link together, almost like a constant flow of energy. It is an effective defensive style for she is constantly moving her body, never giving her opponent an easy opening to capitalize upon.

Weaponry - Omega Dragon Fans
Twin fans of differing color. The first is obsidian black, a silver dragon decorating in. The edges are also silver, etched with many different runes symbolizing the legendary beasts. The other is a rich, blood red, a golden dragon upon it. It too has runes along its edge. Both fans bear razor sharp edges, only noticeable when they are in their open state. These fans once belonged to a wealthy merchant. It was the one and only time in her life that Claret indulged in theft, but the fans had called to her, urging her to take them from that place. Believing some higher power was pushing her to do so, Claret stole the fans. Perhaps it is her affinity with all things Dragon that caused this petty crime; Xiong can never be sure. Since acquiring the fans, however, the Dragon Magics have increased in effectiveness.

Abilities -

Burst Speed - Through channeling pure Chi into her legs, Claret is able to move much faster for a very limited amount of time. This ability allows her to almost blink out of existence, appearing a short distance off from her original location. Because of the sheer amount of Chi, or internal energy, used to utilize this move, Claret cannot use it repeatedly without rapidly draining herself. Just two of these will leave her needing to sit and take a breather for at least ten minutes. Usually used as a desperation move to escape when all else fails.

Magic -

Dragon Breath - Calling upon the internal magics within her, Claret is able to imbue her fans with fire. The fans absorb this, giving them flickering embers along the entire weapon. Due to the strain this puts upon her, Claret can only maintain this for long periods of time if not forced to exert herself. If not exerting herself, this can be maintained for at least twenty minutes. However, having to utilize her speed or agility reduces this time by at least half. Burst Speed cancels this immediately. Also, forcing Claret to relinquish hold upon the fans will cause this to stop, leaving her exhausted from the sudden separation of weapon and energy channeling through her body.

Dragon Chill - Calling upon the internal magics within her, Claret is able to imbue her fans with ice. The fans absorb this, giving them a frosted appearance along the entire weapon.

Dragon Shock - Calling upon the internal magics within her, Claret is able to imbue her fans with lightning. The fans absorb this, giving them flickering jolts of electricity along the entire weapon.

((I know they're the same but just different elements >.>))

History - Claret was born into a relatively wealthy family where anything she wanted, she got. Sure, many might have viewed this as a good thing, but the older she got; the more Claret came to resent it. At the age of ten, the tiny girl took to fighting as a form of rebellion against her parents. However, she soon came to realize that she was actually pretty good at it and it became more than a simple sideline for her.
As she reached her teens, Claret ranged her exploits further and further from her home. It was something she enjoyed, the thrill and tension as she fought to the point of exhaustion, adrenaline coursing through her veins like livewires.

Even though she knew that this life was not the one her parents wished for her, Claret could not help herself. She grew to love the attraction of anything daring and lost herself to the temptation every time. The flame-haired girl was a very natural warrior, her natural charm more often than not aiding her in getting the win. After a while, she tired of the area she was in and began traveling.

It was in the first year of her travels that Xiong encountered the archer who taught her the value of protecting her head. It was by sheer luck that the warrior had managed to turn her head just enough to receive cut along her temple. Claret knows even to this day, that had her head been turned even half a centimeter, that arrow would have claimed her life. The Circlet that now protects her head became an integral part of her armor from that day forwards.

Claret and the archer became traveling companions for a time, growing closer with each passing day. Three months later, Xiong had acquired the best friend she’d never had as a child. A deadly duo, there were few battles the pair were bested in. Until that one fateful day; the Archer lost her life to a bullet in the heat of battle. The shot had been aimed for Claret, but the other girl’s loyalty to her friend prevented it from ever reaching the warrior. The archer died in Xiong’s arms. Her final words; Live on, Dragon Warrior, etched the title firmly to Claret.

The Dragon Warrior now travels once more, looking to better herself, searching to unlock her true potential.

(Will be added to as I use her in RP’s naturally.)

She is too pretty to be real, and I wouldn't be intimidated by such a beauty. In fact, my weakness are pretty eyes and lips. Oh and women with long her...Oh my God...I obviously do not express this quite often and no one who has meet me in real knows this. The eyes are a reflection of our souls.

Wow...I feel like I am in love...<3

Just kidding, quite an astounding job. I have not spotted a chance to slaughter this biography....yet :gonk:
First Impression - The initial impression is that Claret is almost a dismissive young girl with no real need to let others past her guard. She appears to only be out for herself whilst maintaining an aura of mystery that can be somewhat intriguing, but on the off-hand, may be a little off-putting. Pretty and with attitude...a deadly combination.
Strength - Although a warrior, Claret has not focused her training upon her strength and therefore likes the physical brutality many would expect of someone in her profession. This is not to say she is weak, but by the stereotypical warrior standards, she ranks average at best. Her punches pack less of a punch than her kicks. What is the "Dragon Style"? Aside from that, this looks hell good.

How much these "Dragon Magics" has increased its effectiveness? Is it twice as sharper/stronger than how they originally were?

Will she age as you add more abilities? I actually did that with Cairn, in fact, I plan on revising him and upgrading his biography as your RP progresses. So far, if it were within my power to approve it, I would do so. However, I would like either Alumar, Faith or Chris Redfield (Danny?) to take a look at this first. Astounding work Vikki, I can see much of your own traits (both emotional, and physical) have greatly influenced Cleret Xiong. In fact, I would even dare to say that she is you and you are her.

Caitaryne Delylah Meracah

ORPG/URPG/RPB - ORPG/RPB

Name – Caitaryne (Ryne for short) Delylah Meracah

Title – The Shadowed Rose (a name given to her by the civilians of Deltos for her dark beauty. Before she destroyed the town of course.)

Alignment – Evil

Race – Shadow Weaver
Looking a lot like a normal human being, the shadow weaver is able to easily blend in without a second glance in their direction. However, if one was curious to take a second look upon a Shadow Reaver, the differences that marked them apart from humans would soon become noticeable. For one, their ears are slightly longer than those of a human (though not so much as a typical elf) and taper into smooth points. Secondly, their eyes slant slightly down on the inward point and up at the outer. A Shadow Reaver's pupils are slitted much like a cat, or even a dragon, and are not one simple colour but typically a myriad of several. Other than these few things, they look like the average human.

Gender – Female

Age – Fourteen

Appearance –
Ryne, being just fourteen, has a slender figure than can best be described as "graceful". Whilst she has a few curves to mark her as a woman, she is neither buxom nor 'womanly' in figure. Strong muscles, toned through the last five years, are defined and many would describe her as being rather "whip like" in form. At just four foot, eight, Ryne is also rather short even for her age, though what she lacks in stature, she more than makes up with her mere presence and the way shadows simply mold to her, oft times making her look rather sadistic and just a little intimidating.

Caitaryne's hair reaches just below her waist and feathers at the ends to tumble over the curve of her lower back. Her fringe stops just short of the bridge of her nose and brushes off towards the right side of her forehead. Gun metal grey eyes with flecks of gold and lilac peer out from behind dark lashes, accentuating their arcs. Her pupils are slitted, like those of her kind and a simple decoration of three dots leads out from the corner of her right eye, marking her power. Pointed ears hide beneath Ryne's thick hair, another decoration marring the soft pale skin beneath the left. This decoration is a rune, on that marks her as a master of the shadows and all that reside within (a three pointed tree like design).

Image

Attire – Caitaryne dons a very simple outfit. A long, dark purplish, tight red skirt covers her lower half, reaching her feet. Simple black boots cover her tiny feet, reaching to mid-calf. To cover the dignity of her upper portion, Ryne wears a sleeveless, almost vest like, tunic that she has cut the bottom off she her midriff shows. Her right hand is covered by a piece of black material that has been wound around it to form some sort of makeshift glove. It isn't all it seems, however, as it hides one of her three small weapons.

Armour – Does not wear armour

Personality – Ryne, from the moment she was old enough to truly understand just what emotions were, has never been a child who is big on the little delights of innocence such as dolls and playing. She despises every form of affection, whether this is a hug or something as simple as a warm pat on the shoulder. With a mindset that is set to "get on with the job not matter what has to be done to complete it", the young girl never even one to give excuses for why she goes about things in a certain way, nor does she ever feel remorse for her actions. The Shadowed Rose does whatever she can to remain inconspicious, preferring not to be seen.

Due to the events that led to her 'downfall' early in childhood, Ryne's only delight is in causing pain on others. Whilst anything else is shown little to no interest, for Ryne either dislikes it or feels indifferent towards it, blood and death thrill her. Whilst hating being touched, she has no trouble with physical contact .... so long as they're dead. Perverse and satanistic, Caitaryne truly is a 'dark seed'. Though, you would not think she delighted in torturing her victims into insanity before she very slowly and deliberately drains the life from them, when you first lay your eyes on her. Able to fake 'happiness', Caitaryne keeps her true personality shrouded in darkness. Another side of her is the manipulative aspect. Using her best smiles and batting her eyelashes, Ryne can usually get exactly what she wants out of anybody.

First Impression – Upon initial impression, Ryne gives off an air of being just like any other teenage girl. With a smile that lights up her face, no matter how false it is, Ryne almost forces those she meets to believe the charade she plays in order to keep her true intentions hidden. If that fails, Caitaryne breaks out the eyelash battering. If she has to act coy in order to carry on with her task, she will. If first meetings involve a brush of skin against her own, she might give off the impression that she is a scared little girl. Generally, however, she comes off as a cheery young girl who has no other care in the world but enjoying life.

Strength – Physically, Ryne is extremely weak. Her punches pack a little more punch than her kicks, but even so, at full strength, she would be lucky to cause much damage to an opponent. If her opponent had 500 health, with next to no armour, her punchs would deal around 10 damage at the very most, with her kicks coming in at a meager 5.

Speed – Faster than she is stronger, Caitaryne can run at a top speed of around thirteen mph, maintaining that speed for around ten minutes. Usually, she paces herself at roughly nine mph, which she can maintain for far longer (the longest time being three hours when she ran from her hometown).

Vitality – When Ryne takes damage, she takes it heavily. Her frame is not designed to take damage, but rather to avoid it. She can, however, withstand magic attacks better due to her affiliation with the darkness. A normal physical attack would deal moderate to high damage to her, whilst a spell would do much less, possibly moderate to relatively low. Light/Holy based spells, will however, cause significantly higher damage on the side of severe.

Reflexes – The Shadowed Rose's reflexes are her only defining strength in a battle aside from her mastery over darkness. It takes her only a second to realize when she is under attack and she is then able to react instinctively by retaliating or defending. Whilst Ryne would find it difficult to avoid an arrow or bullet, her reactions are enough that she will most likely only suffer flesh wounds from them by using her evasion. The shadows are in part the reason behind her heightened reflexes, for they help to hide her when joined with her mind through Shadow Puppet.

Stamina - Her only plus when it comes to endurance is the fact she can fight for longer than most she has ever come across. Because Ryne paces herself at the start of a fight, she is able to retain an average fighting level. Once her opponent starts to tire, Caitaryne brings out her reserved energy to overwhelm them. If she fights for more than a couple of hours at her low rate, she will start to tire, however. At maximum 'capacity', she can maintain her strength for around ten minutes, twenty at a push.

Fighting Style – Caitaryne fights with a fluid style known as Iaido. With this style she has mastered the art to draw her sword, strike her opponent and clean the blade before returning it to its saya in one fluid movement. Ryne was also taught the style of Chángquan by her brother, which enables her to be efficient in a fight despite her meager strength and vitality.
Chángquán emphasizes on extended kicks and striking techniques and is often considered to be a long range fighting system. "The best offense is a strong defense" and since she lacks both (in reality), this style enables to to launch attacks aggressively enough that her opponents are less likely to see it coming. Though more experienced fighters would find her relatively easy to overcome. Chángquán uses large, circular movements to increases reflexes. It is best known for its acrobatic kicks.

Weapons –

Scindo - Kodachi
Scindo, a kodachi that once belonged to her brother. The sword has been passed down for thirteen generations within the Meracah family, to the oldest surviving male after the trial. Not one has a woman laid her hand upon it... until Caitaryne won it.
It is a simple enough blade with a oval guard and black hilt. The Saya, or scabbard is blood red, with a wolf etched upon it in silver. The blade reaches fifty nine centimetres in length and is a polished silver colour. The blade appears to be stained red during certain phases of the moon, possibly a hint to the amount of bloodshed the weapon has caused.

Spiritus - Garrote Wire
Ryne's very first weapon and possibly her most precious. A wire that is now hidden within the bandage around her hand, Spiritus is designed for one thing; strangling her targets. There is nothing remarkable about the wire, bar the fact that it is known to speak to Caitaryne as though it is its own entity. This could be true, or perhaps Ryne's darker side speaks for it.
The weapon is one that can be easily broke, but the wire is long enough that it can survive a few accidents and still be usable.

Throwing Stars
About her person, Ryne hides several small (two inch), four pointed throwing stars. Black in colour, these tiny, deadly missiles are plenty sharp enough to cause some pretty decent damage if they connect. She always tries to gather them up, but oft times has to restock between her 'missions'.

Abilities – None to date

Magic –
Shadow Puppet
The only magic Caitaryne currently has access too. Shadow Puppet allows her to physically link herself to the surrounding shadows, making them aid her in her attacks as though they were a part of her. In doing so, her attacks have an added element. With this spell active, Ryne's attacks sometimes seem to blur when she strikes. This helps to make it harder to see the attack coming. The shadows help to obscure her, possibly making her a harder target to connect with as she seems to become one with them. This is a draining spell that forces her to concentrate upon her will and that of the shadows. She can keep this spell active for around ten minutes before it fails. The time between each casting is at least an hour.
This spell does nothing more.
Another drawback to this spell is that she cannot use it where there is no light. Breaking her concentration also breaks this. Her will has become more focused over the years but being attacked and hurt can easily waver it. Being hit with spells, especially those of the light variety cause her to drop concentration also, thus weakening the effectiveness of the spell.

Other Skills – Caitaryne is a talented artist, making anything come to life on the page. Her most prized possession besides her weapons is a small sketchbook where she keeps her best pictures. Touch it at your own risk.

Transformation - Not complete. Will happen in a future RP. Will fill out details when it has revealed itself for it is currently dormant.

History – Caitaryne was born into a family of four older siblings (her being the fifth) in a city known as Deltos. At least, that was before it became known as the Dead City. There is a custom amongst the Shadow Reavers that the all the sons in one family fight to the death, until only one remains breathing. The surviving son becomes the heir to the Family's heritage, always a sword that blushes crimson during phases of the moon. The son is also the one who takes the life of their father with that blade when the father transforms into the beast that resides within.
Caitaryne, the only daughter, was only six when the Ritual battle took place. She stood on the sidelines as her brothers tore into each other... watched as blood and flesh flew... grew hungry as the sun set upon the crimson soaked battlefield. A great desire welled within her, and she was drawn to the blood weeping freely over the emerald grass. Her fingers ran through it, rose to her face and stroked against her pale skin. She was tainted, hungering for her remaining brother (the second youngest), to hear him gurgle and his life drain from him as she pulled the ribbon from her hair and strangled him.
Her father could only watch in horror as his heir died at the hands of his pretty, dainty daughter. Caitaryne's lust for death and destruction did not end there. She turned her slitted eyes upon her sire, took up Scindo, and rent the life from his chest. Her mother was next, her last words speaking what had happened to the Shadowed Rose. "At one with the darkness."

Ryne exalted in the death of her family. In that same night, the city suddenly become a ghost town as she moved amongst the houses, destroying all life as she came across it. Only then was her lust sated as she sat upon the roof of one particular large house, her feet hanging over the edge. It was then she heard the voice calling to her. A dry, seductive voice that spoke of removing life from the planet.

The Shadowed Rose isolated herself for the next two years, deep within the Dead City. When she finally emerged, she was no longer the crazed, blood thirsty young girl she had been when she had gone into hiding. Now Ryne was far more dangerous. Calculating and manipulative... yet hateful of physical contact of any kind. She let out a maniacal laugh and left the city.

For the next six years, Caitaryne travelled, leaving many a corpse in her wake. Her intention is to remove all trace of life from the planet. If she is able to do so... then maybe she and that voice will finally be alone.

Be nice. It's been a while. :mokken:

Speed – Faster than she is stronger, Caitaryne can run at a top speed of around eleven mph, maintaining that speed for around ten minutes. Usually, she paces herself at roughly seven mph, which she can maintain for far longer (the longest time being three hours when she ran from her hometown).

Nothing necessarily wrong here, just wanted to point out that that is a touch on the slow side. And considering that her strength is so low, I could stand to see it upped a few mph for both. Just a thought, though.

whilst a spell would do much less, possibly moderate to relatively low.

Considering her affinity to darkness, would light- and/or holy-based spells do more damage to her?

If she fights for more than a couple of hours at her low rate, she will start to tire, however.

I would hope so. :wacky: I'd like to see that dialed down. Even with her rope-a-dope style, she would still be taking a certain amount of damage that would fatigue her, and maintaining a battle for even 30 minutes is a very, very long time.

Shadow Puppet

I'd like to know more about this spell. You say it can aid her in her attacks. How? Do the shadows simply make her harder to see? Do they strengthen her physically/magically? Does she actually attack people with the shadows? Does her concentration cause any negative effects?

Hopefully it's okay, now. :mokken:

It's terrible. :mokken:

So much so that I must approve it. :mokken:
