Playstation Valkyria Chronicles

I didn't personally enjoy it (I only got halfway through before I absolutely did not want to continue playing it), but I like the concept that they were going for. The gameplay is fairly smooth, and if you enjoy strategic RPGs, or something along the lines of Advance Wars for the GBA/DS, then I suggest giving it a shot.

I played it and honestly, Probably one of the Better RPG's for the PS3 out there. Easily a top 5 IMO. A good story, good gameplay.

Think about it like a actionish Tactical RPG. Kinda confusing... but really it is very good and amazing setup.
 
Id say go for it. It's very cheap now (I bought it when it first came out) and I found it to be phenomenal. It doesnt do anything new story wise (really what does for the most part), but the story it tells, is told well.

Battle system is a mixture of third person action and strategy, meaning when you choose a character from the map, you can run around (time bar depending on which soldier you use) and soldiers, etc will fire at you. But when you choose to attack, everything stops firing at you so you can aim up your shots. Depending on those surrounding you, they may join in, and the enemy may fire back.

Personally I loved the game. If you like strategy type RPG's, go for it definitely.
