What are you looking forward to that's going to be released this year?

I've got a few on my list; Foals, The Little Ones, The Fratellis, Kooks, The Feeling and We Are Scientists. I'm hoping the last four all have albums as good as their first. I'm hoping the first two will be as good as the stuff I've heard of them so far.
There'll probably be a lot more as the year progresses.

To be honest I haven't give it much thought, Nickelback's 6th studio album and Doors Down (3 doors down) are the only 2 albums that I can really think of off the top of my head though I'm sure there will be more.

Chinese Democracy- Guns n Roses.
although that has supposed to have been coming out the past 13 years so i aint optomistic

This is a quick run-through of confirmed albums I'm looking forward to in the first couple of months of 2008:

January:
Distortion (The Magnetic Fields)

February:
Made in the Dark (Hot Chip)
Seventh Tree (Goldfrapp)

March:
New album (Guillemots)
The Seldom Seen Kid (Elbow)
13 Blues for Thirteen Moons (A Silver Mount Zion)
Accelerate (R.E.M.)

April:
New album (Portishead) - only took them 11 years since the last one!
Saturdays = Youth (M83)

New albums I'm hoping do come out this year: Sufjan Stevens, The Wrens, Spiritualized, Of Montreal

When Life Gives You Lemons...-Atmosphere
Eleventh Hour-Del Tha Funkeee Homosapien

Those are the only two I have in mind right now.

Kasabian have a third album scheduled for some time later this year. My expectations are high.

Franz Ferdinand also have a third album planned. My expectations aren't quite as high, but hopefully it'll be better than You Could Have Had It So Much Better, which I was a bit disappointed with.

Also, Alex Turner has a duet album planned with the guy from The Rascals (Mike Kane?) Not too optimistic about this one really, since careers like this tend not to end well. And the style is going to be very different to that of Arctic Monkeys. Still, I'll most likely download it to see if it's any good.

Though I'm skeptical about this, Metallica is releasing a new album this year. According to Hefield, it sounds a bit progressive and is like the link between '...And Justice For All' and the 'Black Album'. Basicly it sounds to me as if they finaly realised St.Anger was bad and they are desperately trying to pull off something more trashier whilst still being commercial successful. It's either going to be great or an absolute pile of shit.

Possibility of Heaven And Hell (aka Black Sabbath) releasing a full length studio album. If it isn't then the 'original' Sabbath might be doing one and/or Dio will be doing Magica Part II. I hope they make their minds soon, I want a new Sabbath album (in the form of H&H, Ozzy has past it).

I don't know any others off the top of my head.

Theory of a Deadman have their third studio album "Scars & Souvenirs". My expectations are high after their first album "Theory of a Deadman" was great and their second "Gasoline" was even better.

Also looking forward to new albums from The Fray, The Kooks, Jack Johnson (Which his album is scheduled to be released day before my birthday.) and Kaiser Chiefs.

YES! The new Kaiser Chiefs album...
I'm also looking forward too the new albums by the following artists...

The Living End
Muse
Panic! at the Disco
We Are Scientists
R.E.M.
The Fratellis

Muse is going to be early 09, isn't it?
Didn't know REM had announced another one either. Oasis are also doing another one at some point this year.

R.E.M.'s album (called Accelerate) is coming out on March 31st in the UK. It's up in the air whether the Muse album will be this year or 2009.
