Do you ever do unnecessary healing? Like healing Silence state to a Warrior or Blind state to a White Mage? Of course that it isn't really matter if a Warrior is silenced as he can't use magic anyway. As well as doesn't matter if the White Mage is blinded, as his attacks are usually useless anyway.

For some reason, I just can't watch my party with harmful states.
Even if the states aren't really "harmful", I'll still heal them.

Me too. Just seeing the stats covering my characters names or showing the signs of the ailment make me feel bad then i feel like i have to heal them, even though they may go away after the battle or dont really make sense to heal >_>

Play Final Fantasy II. You will ALWAYS have to do unnecessary things to improve your characters. They don't have levels, so getting attacked more improves evasion and defense or summat, casting more spells makes better spellcasting, attacking things more often makes more accurate and stronger hits, etc. The best way to play that game is to be as calculatingly unnecessary as possible without killing anyone. (i.e., party members attacking each other to improve their accuracy, attack, defense, evasion, or health, and healing all the time to get better at healing.)

Yeah, I did that :kelly:
But I just didn't have patience for the magics...
At least I improved the party's Max HP by A LOT.

I did that in FFT too, because you get EXP even if you attack an ally :randompoke: and the random ecounters were A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G

Maybe in FFTA too, but I am not sure...

Usually I do not do any unecessary healing for my party members. I'd just rather beat pointlessly on what ever monster I am fighting if there is no need to heal any of my characters. There are times when I do not even bother healing a status that is harming my character if I know I can survive the battle.

For me, I do the same. I heal without thinking. I cannot sit there and watch my party be cursed with bad stats. =p. In some FF's the stats carry over even after battle so, I like to get it out the way if I could. haha.

If I am in an important battle, I try to think more of what the situation is and if it's not important to heal that character, I won't. Especially if it saves MP in the long run and can help me win the battle.

It usually depends. If I'm up against a normal group of enemies and am in no real danger, sure, why not? Might as well look cool when I win.

If I'm up against Mr. OMG-I'M-GOING-TO-DIE boss, then no, I'd prefer to live.

I do unnecessary healing quite a bit, but I think it depends on which game. For instance, in XII, if I'm near a save crystal I won't bother healing. I have the tendency to leave negative stats during boss battles though and that includes leaving it on the characters who need it removed. x:

I probably don't heal enough, I'l leave people with inflicted statuses if I can get away with it, I dont like wasting my turns when I know I can fix it/it will have gone at the end of the battle

I don't like wasting my MP or items either, I jsut tend to hoard them, I'l heal my HP and status ailments only when I have too, unless I have a white mage in the party and the little tits only hitting for 1 hp -__- Then I'l just be glad its actually getting a useful turn for a change ...unless it's low on hp and Im low on items ¬¬

I rarely ever heal unnecessarily, if the status effect doesn't bother the character at all then I don't really care unless I'm forced to say attack with a mage because I've run out of MP and MP restoring items etc.

If I heal unnecessaryly, it's because I did it by mistake or I still need to get used to the system like I'm doing with FFCC echoes of time. Maybe I would because there would be too much stock in my inventory otherwise.

:D I always heal unnecessarily! If a party member has any status ailment I'll heal it right away. Even worse is when if someone has 2995/3000 HP I'll use any healing item I have to make it 3000/3000. OCD I guess haha :awesome:

Well, I don't consider healing as uneccessary in any ways but. Sometimes in ff12 i cast regen instead of curaja jsut for fun to see the hp goes up gradually.
