Ultimate Elementum {RP}

First, came relief. To hear the familiar voice that she had been seeking removed all the fear and trepidation that had built into a force that pushed her mind into hysteria. Next, came shock. As she heard the voice, and looked in the direction, she saw a torrent of water rushing at her. Thankfully, her reflexes were quick enough, and she merely leaped to the side.

The unlucky soldiers in hot pursuit suffered the full brunt of this assault. This form of resistance was apparently something they had not been expecting. Scurrying away quickly, Alicia continued to run over to Carita and Kyrie, whose location was now known, thanks to Carita’s actions.

A quick glance over the soldiers showed that some of them had already recovered, and were now coming after her. Fortunately, Carita’s attacks had bought enough time for Alicia to put some considerable distance between herself and her enemies. Ignoring them, she focused on joining in with her two allies.

At her pace, it didn’t take long for Alicia to reach the two, and promptly, she raised a spear to point at her enemies, ready to take them on. Her morale had been lifted in the presence of this two. If it’s a fight they sought, she was now ready to give it.

Though, not before she expressed her heartfelt gratitude.

“CARITA! I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

Literally squealing this expression of appreciation, she added in a quick pat on Carita’s shoulder, as well as a friendly grin, before focusing back on the human mass coming at the group. “Though, I’m really sorry to trouble you all.” She added, her voice almost an embarrassed whisper.

It was the first time Kyrie had seen the full power of an Element unleashed. And she was impressed, awed, frightened, confused, and filled with hope, all simultaneously. Shaking off the momentary feeling of being stunned, Kyrie saw that a little over half of the original number of soldiers coming after Alicia remained. Now they were coming after all three of them. Normally, that amount of soldiers converging on Kyrie and two others would send Kyrie scrambling for cover and a place to hide. But with Carita's power, and the latent power of the Winds she could sense in Alicia, she knew they could stand and fight.

“CARITA! I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ... Though, I’m really sorry to trouble you all.”

Kyrie responded through gritted teeth. "Oh, it's no trouble really." Then she unleashed a Haari battle cry, a high pitched keen, and launched herself at the pursuing Gallacarian soldiers, ducking and dodging, slashing and weaving.

“CARITA! I LOVE YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH! ... Though, I’m really sorry to trouble you all.”
Carita reeled a slight bit at the positive emotions conveyed to her. Never has she ever felt anything other than curses, hatred and coldness from anyone and it was entirely foreign to her. However, she felt warm in the chest, ever so slightly. Just above the mask, one could see a slight flush spread across Carita's pale face.

It...it is no...problem...

A high battle cry and a darting Kyrie meant that it was to fight. The Harri had already dove into the enemy group, slicing and dodging at the foes. There was no time to ponder on emotions or her own problems. Finish off these people first, then when safe, think. Spinning her two rapiers in a fancy maneauver, Carita dove after Kyrie. Those that have turned to track the speedy Kyrie was rewarded with a stap straight through the throat from the back as Carita took advantage of the distracted openings created by her friend.

Traveling by foot, Soren had began his new search. What he was searching for was unknown even to him. The hopes were to find something worth his while, and there he would learn more about the world he loved. Walking farther and farther, he soon was not able to see the city of Estes, and when He looked back, he grinned. It was good that he was going out random, as it had been a while after all.

Soren did notice something however. As he went farther in this direction, the land slowly became even more infertile. Aproaching the infertile lands, Soren had hopes for what he would see.

(OOC: SORRY I took so long, I had no idea what to do, but now my next post will be after damon)

OOC: We're in a pinch. Music has pretty much gone on a long term hiatus due to school. What do we do Grahf?

It was foreign at first, but when Carita got into the rhythm of frontal combat, it was a good deal smoother. Completely different from the assassins style she learned, Carita had to watch out for her own back. Already, she had three close calls. A feeling of inadequacy surfaced as Carita finally knew that her skills were limited to that of a small band with surprise tactics. In these fights, with ahrsher words, she was a weak link.

A large claymore cleaved close to her head and with a duck, she sweeped her leg in a wide arc and prepared to plunge the tin blade into his neck when a sensation ran up her spine. Both legs tensed and her whole body lurched forward, off the soldier before rolling and turning to where her back faced. Standing there was a Gallacarian soldier with his blade where her chest had been.

Watch that wench. She's difficult. Surround her!

It was bad turn of event. With only three fighters, there was enough troops to surround each one. Carita's eagle eyes darted around, looking for options and with each passing moment, the situation looked more and more dire.

Hm... can't be helped.

Closing her eyes like before, at the last second, Carita snapped her eyes open in fierce concentration and swung her arm in a massive horizontal arc. To the outsider, it seemed absolutely stupid to attack with her hands and at a distance where it would not have touched. However, what followed a meter from her swipe was a large rush of water, following in a similar arc of her swipe. The high volume, high pressure water swatted the shocked soldiers, flinging them far off. With the troops at the front gone, Carita charged through the gap towards Kyrie, planting herself to cover her comrades back.

Things aren't going...smoothly. We need to leave. It would be bad news...if the general returned.

((OOC: By now, I suppose most, or all of you should know my level of activity. Nevertheless, I’ll just continue posting until the owner of the RP decides to remove my character. Right now, it’s amusing that I have quite sufficient time, thanks to the Lunar New Year holidays, but that won’t last…. Whatever, I’ll take things as it comes.

… So, you’ll notice that I copied and pasted this OOC message if you read A Kingdom Darkly…))

The battle began promptly, as soon as the two acknowledged her. She had been a terrified mess earlier, but now, her resolve had found a firm foundation. It was now, with her friends, her comrade-in-arms, that she would fight the good fight. Shouting out a battle cry in an attempt to mimic Kyrie’s, she charged forth, her spear dancing about.

‘How long would this battle last’, she wondered to herself silently, as she rushed forward to impale an unlucky soldier caught off guard. As she removed her weapon from the body, her eyes darted about to see the many soldiers she had to slay to completely eradicate this force. ‘Is it even possible for us two to win this battle?’

Then, Carita’s earlier actions sprang to mind.

‘Maybe!’

They may not be in such a desperate situation, but certainly, her elemental powers would definitely aid in the progress of the battle. Gripping her spear tightly, she swung it to the side to slash into another soldier’s neck. “Here goes nothing!” She muttered, and then focused intensely. In all honesty, she had totally no clue as to how exactly she had used her powers earlier.

Still, luck shone on her, as the wind stirred, and with a mighty force such that movement became difficult- even for herself. “What the?” She exclaimed, only to feel the wind become stronger. So strong was the wind that some soldiers lost their footing and actually fell. “My bad!”
