I'm very distraught about the whole thing right now, especially since I found out that more have died in the Philippines due to landslide just recently. My mom and family members are doing okay, I think...although I haven't called about the landslide yet. I know my mom received some flooding too but not as deep as in Manila (I think the highest around 20 feet deep). My grandma however...her house is ruined and I'm trying to think of ways to support her through my mom.
Here's a link to some pictures in the Philippines. http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/tropical-storm-Manila2C-Philippines-Marikina/photo//091004/481/ca871b3d1a694d4782d3978fc9050f28/#photoViewer=/091005/481/dac123ec7c0d4587a2172f6cc30fc893
Out of all the places in Asia, the Philippines is the most severely affected, with over 400 deaths and still a lot of people missing. I've heard some extremely sad stories and my heart reaches out to everyone back home. Then over 100 deaths for the landslide today. Taiwan was also hit, as well as China's southern coastal province, Vietnam, and Cambodia. There's others too.
And after all this, the outbreak of disease will be next...
