When an earthquake opens a passage under a lake in the resort area of Lake Victoria, hungry, prehistoric piranha are unleashed upon drunken, unsuspecting Spring Break frat boys and party girls. Mayhem ensues. Sheriff Forester (Elisabeth Shue) already has her work cut out for her, but things are complicated further when her son (Steven R. McQueen) escorts the cast and crew of slimy “Wild, Wild Girls” entrepreneur Derrick Jones (Jerry O’Connell) onto the lake and their boat becomes wedged on the rocks. Richard Dreyfuss (appearing in one of film’s several nods to the Jaws series), Christopher Lloyd, Ving Rhames and Adam Scott also take to their quirky roles with appropriate gusto.

Haha Steve wants to see this.

I'm not really into these sort of movies because anything where an animal eats a human in such a disgusting way makes me sick.

Just like Rogue with the massive Crocodile. >.<

But I'll probably end up watching it because of Steve. =P

Ugh Steve brought this home tonight to watch.

It was disgusting.

As I said in the What's Your Mood thread:

It makes me sick to think that any animal could do that to a human. It's just not right. We're meant to be at the top of the food chain, not some fugly little fish.

It really wasn't the best movie. Great if you're into blood and guts but it really was terrible.

Never again will allow myself to watch something like this.

I'm planning to watch it at some point, I watched the original and loved it /not grim :ohoho:

I dunno, I like these evil killer fish films, like Jaws, Swordfish etc etc

I loved the original of this movie. This one doesn't look too bad, and I sort of like the plot line, but I have to wait till it comes out on DVD so I don't have to watch in in 3D. Can't really stand 3D because it hurts my eyes, and really watching the preview I don't see the greatness in 3D with it. But it seems to deliver with the blood and the gore
