I love to watch old Tom and Jerry cartoons. Does anyone else ever get the opportunity , privilege to watch some old school Tom and Jerry? I am talking the old stuff , prob 40's through 60's material.

I still occassionally see it on TV, just not as often as I used to. I just wish Tom would finally eat Jerry, cat's are not that dumb..... >:(

I get annoyed with Road runner aswel, Oh how I wish Wile coyote would just destroy that little fucker -_-

That mouse is pretty intelligent though. It is like a super genius mouse. Can you imagine an army of Jerry's ? I think the cat population would be killed off. Tom is fairly smart though . I just like the old school nature of it. How it is not hyper, and loud like today's cartoons.

Ever watch Cartoon network ? It is so loud and hyper, kids these days bounce off the freakin walls.

I really like those cartoons! :D I love old cartoons. Here at home I also have The Pink Panter. Short little cartoons but so funny. Yeah, Jerry really is one smart mouse, all the different cat mouse scenarios I can never get tired of 'em.

I loved Tom and Jerry when I was younger. It's actually a pretty violent cartoon.

I've seen Tom blow his face off with a revolver, get his head chopped off in at least ten different ways, and get eaten alive by some giant dog. He gets beaten to within an inch of his life in...well...every episode.

Good stuff.

Mjrn, it is cool you appreciate older times. I like that.

Von, lol that made me laugh. :D

I prefer the episodes where they are chasing each other around the house to the stupid ones with more characters and locations, and I despise when they talk. D=

Boomerang used to be good for watching old cartoons, but now they play new stuff which completely defeats the purpose of the original reason for the channel. >< I was flicking through channels and saw the word 'BRATZ' on the tv listings... :omg: What is the world coming to...

On the rare occasion that I get up more than 1/2 hour before I have to leave for classes, I'll watch Tom and Jerry in the morning. I used to watch it all the time when I was younger too, so I think I've seen practically every episode there is.

haha, I remember those days when i woke up early in the morning just to watch Tom and Jerry. But yeah, I loved those shows.
I don't understand how it keeps going since the plot is basically the same, but I'm not complaining. xD

I used to watch a lot of Tom and Jerry shows when I was a kid. I remember a few details here and there, but nothing major. All I know was that I enjoyed watching them run around. They were actually pretty funny. xD

I hate Tom and Jerry with a passion. They just never seemed funny or cool or anything but annoying.

They don't make cartoons like they ued too :(

I was watching some crap this morning were they were calling crayons 'squiggle sticks' it makes me mad

It's making me want to go buy that Thundercats boxset from HMV >=[

I agree, cartoons were better.

It wasn't cheesy :monster:

Todays stuff is cheesy, where are all the inuendo's and stuff :wacky: It's all to politically correct these days...

sure educational stuff is like good but, meh, we want some action & bad acting :wacky: tbh, that educational stuff is boring. Sodding number jacks & stuff

I did't buy thundercats in the end, I had t get a dvd for my friends little boys birfday and it cost me 20 quid

I understand, I woke up just for Tom and Jerry as well. It's a pathetically simple story, but it's still just.... unique in it's own way. The graphics, although old, I really, really love. I really have a strong disliking for the new cartoon animations. There just doesn't seem to be as much time and thinking gone into them. Take Phineus and Ferb, and Captain Flamingo for instance...

It used to just be on at a random time in the afternoon from what I remember, normally in between some really boring programs lol.
A quick 5 minute fix then back to whatever boring crap was on :monster:

That show is ok I guess. My favorite part is when tom tries to catch jerry and he fails that was funny. My favorite character is tom because he gets hit by the owner that was funny too. Anyways tom and jerry can suck on some episodes.

:eek:uttahere:This show is always on, on CartoonNetwork. I usually watch this classic whenever I'm bored. I love it when Tom always get smacked in the face because Jerry always outsmarts him.

I always loved Jerry the best yet I still waited for the moment when Tom catches him :P I love Tom & Jerry. Tom is particularly funny. He gets hit, eats a bomb, puts his paw into the mouse-trap, get scolded by his owner, gets defeated 100 times in a row by Jerry yet still lives. They're a complete legend.

Tom and Jerry is fucking dope. My brothers are also both huge fans of it, so much so, that they have DVDs of the show. Seriously, the most I ever got was a VHS of "The Magic Ring", which wasn't bad at all. It's still one of those shows that I can just put on and watch. I never get bored either. It's just a bunch of over the top action, who doesn't love that? :lew:
