Threads Breaking.

I keep trying to post a response to the 'Aerith and her Faith' thread, but it will not load my response. I can’t even click on ‘Preview Post’ beforehand without it going to a blank white screen.

This happened to me a while back with another thread too. I was unable to post in it for ages, and to this day I still haven’t posted in that thread.

I admit that I was lurking in that thread for a long time, as I had it open in a tab with the intention of replying to it at some point. If that has had anything to do with it, then… Darn.

I’d provide a screenshot, but really all it is is a blank white screen. I tried to post the same thing in Internet Explorer too (I used Firefox before) and the same happened, though it stated it as an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error.

I’ve deleted all cookies several times, and nothing seems to shake this off. I think there may have been a glitch within my account regarding that thread, but that is surely absurd.

Would going online on a different computer / laptop work? If so I could try that sometime in the future, but I’m not in a position to right now. Is there anything else I can do, or shall I just have to twitch and never be able to reply to that topic ever again?

Is there any way to combat this?


This isn't so much just for that thread. I'd just like to know how to fight this in case it happens again, or if it happens to anyone else.







EDIT: It seems that I can 'Preview Post' without writing anything, but as soon as I write something it goes into the error.

I was trying to post in the ragnorak game thread, though i wasnt getting an error, it just wasnt happening, id hit post, and it just wasnt happening, so id refresh, try again, still nowt... posted ok in other threads, and it was only that one time, dunno if its related

It happened to me a few times. Usually random threads disagree with random words or images. I reported this to Jesse, since he was the RP mod, and I was posting in one of those sections. he couldn't post it, and neither could the other two i asked. i had to remove the images/words.

how the crap do you know what words/images to delete though?

Unfortunately, this seems to be a floating problem. I had a similar issue when posting an RP bio that was about 6 pages long in a Word document. I had to break it up into two posts. And then when I tried to merge it, it wouldn't let me. Mitsuki and I tried to figure out what the problem was, but to no avail.

Magically, about a month later, I went back and merged the two posts with no problem. So the only advice I can offer is to save your post in Word, then try again later.

1. delete cookies

2. delete cache

3. try another browser

4. make sure your internet connection is stable

5. save your longpost before posting and try it again five minutes later
