From articles on this subject alone, what can we say about Glenn Beck:
1. He supports "turning this country back to God", even though America was built on secularity and evangelicalism has yet to make one positive impact on the social development of this country.
2. He repeatedly references the so-called "I Had a Dream" speech even though he vocally opposes many of the economic principles King encouraged in that speech, such as employment assistance for the poor.
3. He claims that the rally was "non-partisan", though it was almost entirely populated by, featured speakers from, and was advertised on networks owned by conservative groups.
4. He makes a ludicrous attempt to equate the relation between between whites and Lincoln with that of blacks and King, even though Lincoln never fought or died specifically for the economic rights of white people. He doesn't consider the possibility of causing offense by using King's legacy for his own gain.
5. He invites Sarah Palin, who used to reign as the least reliable Republican political figure in the entire country, to spout out jingoistic nonsense about how the military and patriarchal motherhood are the only trustworthy pursuits in modern America. As if we were still in the 1950's or something.
6. His supporters are significantly composed of the white, aging, lunatic fringe of this country, who believe dressing up in Statue of Liberty costumes and reporting equally jingoistic nonsense is a proper way to respond to a supposedly "non-political" rally.
Conclusion: Glenn Beck is a moron, Sarah Palin is a moron, and anyone who believes this parade served a beneficial purpose needs a reality check. The world would be a better place if the Evangelical movement ceased to exist, and we can start by crushing the religious aspirations of their children in the hopes that they will eventually die out. End of story.

Also, to not make a spammy like post, I'll go on to say that I agree with Adamant. While I don't hate Glenn Beck, and at times, find myself to agree with (very rarely) a few of his views. Obviously the man is well educated, I still find him to be about 75% of a retard.
Sarah Palin on the other hand... She makes up at least 5 retards trapped in one body.
I liked the fact that they raised a shit load of money for a good cause, but anyone with half a brain knows that wasn't there only intention. Dat publicity.
And of course Obama isn't going to show up, because he knows damned well what it is. Besides, I know I'm sure as shit not going to stand by a man that wants to see my head on a pike and act like we're all smiling sunshine and shitting rainbows.

This wasn't about politics? Could have fooled me... Good on them for raising money for a worthy cause, but you can't have Sarah Palin (a prominent republican and considered by many to be a potential future presidential candidate) speak in front of thousands of spectators about "restoring America" and claim to be completely non-partisan.
Well, Glenn Beck has the highest ratings of the programs in his time slot. Of course hardcore Democrats are going to be all over it and downplay it as much as they can, and sling some mud at Beck and Palin whenever they feel threatened. But I'd find it hard to believe that his ratings are high because Democrats are looking to find the cracks in what he's televising. Nope, most of those viewers are Republicans and/or are in agreement what he's televising. Obviously he's saying the right things.
Personally, I hate politicians. They are in a position to rip off others for their own gain. Most of them are in office to support their own and very few of them are there to support the people that put them there. I strongly believe that Sarah Palin is one of the few that is actually willing to help us. Yet, she gets a lot of hate, even from her own party. It's sad that a party is in disarray because they are jealous of what Palin can bring to the table.
Even though Palin gets very high ratings from me, I'll say that one thing I do disagree with is her strong hand for religion. I am not in favor of mixing church and state. What a religious figure says should never have a bearing on political action. Religion should remain a choice for an individual, not a mandate.

From 2006-2008, Bush was ripped by many for not doing well in running the country, when people forget that the Democratic Congress would shoot down any proposal he made. People also tend to forget that Congress approval rating was lower than Bush's at that time, you can thank the mostly Democratic supporting media for that. And I know everyone still likes to blame Bush for this, but I think it's time people start admitting that they bought a lemon. Well, it depends on what you're trying to advertise as "reality". Personally, I don't hate Beck, sure I find him pretty stupid at times, but I can't say I hate the man. I know Obama lied, because it's what every politician does. Sometimes they do it deliberately, sometimes they make promises they can't keep.
If Beck ran for president, he would do the same. There is no such thing as a perfect politician, or president.

In my opinion, both the Republicans and the Democrats are a bunch of stupid idiots -- to put it euphemistically. Their policies, which aren't doing anyone a favor, are smoke-screened by simulacra that deceive the people into thinking that "everything is under control" when in fact, nothing is under control.
So both sides are steadily -- yet (of course) unwittingly -- proving that all the models that they endeavor to cram down people's throats are failed models that stand solely for their own materialistic agendas.
It's time for the sheeple to wake up from their brainwashed state and start thinking -- thinking really hard about what might happen if this idiocy continues for the next couple of decades.

The crisis we are in is not the fault of either side but BOTH. Bush started a descent that Obama has only continued. Neither sides other party members have stepped in to do anything. None of them are really trying to stop it.
This whole rally was just another piece in the shifting of our government. The Tea Party movement is heavily influenced by a woman whose intelligence about the government is about the same as Jessica Simpson's. You can say she's nice, and maybe she is, but she's not qualified to have any sort of political power at all.
The last thing I'll say is, even though I don't like her, I'd love Oprah to have a giant rally like this because I know as soon as she did, all the people here agreeing with Beck would be like "Why is she getting involved in politics? She's just a talk show host". Beck is just the same, and just as unqualified as she was to make political movements when she supported Obama.

People aren't thinking for themselves; they're allowing others (especially those with the advantage of forums) to do the thinking for them. And those who listen to their stupid bullshit are even more stupid! Consequently, this comes to show that America has been reduced to a state of general stupidity.

Republicans disband every little incy wincy thing that is idealized by anyone outside their party. Here's a prime example:
Democrats came up with a healthcare plan> not the best> has many flaws> but at least they DID SOMETHING. Conservatives shunned the idea not bc they thought it unnecessary, but bc they don't believe in gov't standards.
With that kind of opponent, it's hard for democrats to move quickly. It's amazing that Obama has done as much as has with the little time he's been in office.
