Just reached Via Purifico in Bevelle on my latest game, and boy this part bugs me.

Well, it isn't that annoying really, just the fact that all your characters get alot stronger in the time you are without Yuna, so now I'm playing catch up with her so she's not as lacking behind.

Don't really need to do it, but I like to keep my characters fairly level.

Anyone else like this?

I really hate it when Yuna leaves the party because she is my favorite chARACTER in all of Final Fantasy and I love using her she is always in my party I just get her back immediately lol.

Yeah they become miles ahead of her, it wasnt something that bothered me to be honest. i really only used Yuna when i needed to build up the aeons overdrives or maybe a quick cure spell or something. Still though its easy enough to get her stronger as the monsters are tougher so she jumps the sphere grid pretty quick.

lol The only thing that's really annoying about that section of the game, IMO, is not that she gets so far behind in levels but that she's the sole element of the boss battle there. It's like you know she's going to be the weakest character... and yet she is the only one to fight in the boss battle. It's a little oxymoronic.

lol the boos battle is really easy to be honest.

Shiva - Diamond Dust, instant death on his Ifrit.
Ixion - Thors Hammer, two attacks, bye bye Isaaru's Valefore
Shvia - Diamond Dust, five attacks, the end of his Bahamut.

He only done something like 194 damage, and that was his Valefor on my Ixion lol. Ifrit died instantly, Ixion dodged all but one attack, and his Bahamut didn't get a chance to use Megaflare after charging up.

I didn't want to use Bahamut in the fight, I'd have just embarrased the poor guy lol.

It has nothing to do with whether or not the battle is easy. It just seems stupid. Yuna is obviously weaker than everyone else on the team... and yet they have her battle solo. Why? You had to fight more epic battles to get to that point, why take a step back? I thought it detracted from the momentum of the game and THAT was far more critical than whether or not she was underleveled at that point.

Yeah, but at the same time she's the only one who gains AP, so depending on how well you've levelled her before that point, you can get a couple of sphere levels. I only got 1 from it though, nothing too exciting.

Apart from that, I enjoy Aeon battles, Belegime(sp?) is one I always look forward to running into, and Isaaru isn't too bad, just easy lol.

Wouldn't she have had to solo it anyway, like with Belgemine? I don't really recall gher ever beuing all that far behind my other characters

And maybe it was also just to show that even on her own nd apparently 'weaker' she was still strong and that's why she became a summoner in the first place...?

I can't remember all that much about this place, tbh, other than trying to find my next party member really fast xD

I really didn't mind this at all since mine was pretty far leveled up at this point anyway (since I spend about 20 hours leveling up ever day before I prpgress), but I usually hate it in any game where a character is AWOL for even a small part of the story.

Yuna wasn't too bad because I could just use her afterwards and leveling and moving around the Sphere Grid was fairly easy in FFX, but still, it meant I had to keep her in my party for even a turn to just defend or something so I coould get her EXP for Ability Points up with everyone else in the party.

I tend to do this aswell, just because in some games in the past I've focussed on using few characters as my primary battlers, but then it sucks when you get bitchslapped if you're forced to use the weaker characters at some point. Especially when it the LAST boss battle.

Major time when I learned this lesson: FF9,
when you're going to get the Gulug stone, your party splits up into two - I put all my strong characters into the first party
, and all my weak ones in the second. This was my first playthrough so I didn't expect having to use the weaker ones... but alas, it screwed me over big time, so I ended up just restarting the ENTIRE game.

I finally got through that part but it took a few days anyway when i got Yuna back I trained her alot until she got caught up with everyone.

The only two things that I find annoying is that the fiends are very hard to battle and I had to find the rest of the characters (Auron, Kimahri and Lulu). And I didn't particualrly like the underwater part. The boss in it was very hard (it supposed to be hard, actually) etc.

You can just X-Potion your way to victory over the underwater version of Evrae, seeing as he's automatically inflicted with "Zombie" status. :P

Good one, I'm surprised I never thought of that. Now Via Purifico doesn't seem so bad.
