Ok I hope I'm doing something wrong here, but I'm finding that the enemies take an incredibly long time to kill. They aren't particularly difficult it's just that I'm inflicting really minuscule amounts of damage on them. I'm playing as Aqua, I'm about level 20 and I'm up to Neverland, but it's been like this for the whole game (even the first world I visited). I know Aqua's apparently supposed to be good with magic but even that does piss all damage.

It's like SE wanted the game to seem longer than it actually is by making me waste several minutes on each enemy. Often I just get bored while I'm fighting and I look away from the screen whilst I mash X. The annoying thing is the game isn't even that hard, it just takes me forever to get anywhere. To be honest it's ruining the game for me and the thought that I have to go through it again with Terra and Ventus isn't appealing at all.

Please tell me I've forgotten to upgrade/customize something which will make me kill enemies faster :gonk:

Have you been combining new abilities and equipping new/powerful keyblades?
And it really all comes down to finding your fighting style. Also, if you're playing on Proud or Critical mode it would be beneficial to do a small amount of grinding before moving on to the later levels; just a few levels and added stats will make a world of difference.

Other then that, I don't know what to tell you...enemies shouldn't be taking that long to go down. The only time I encountered that was when I decided to do a high level Arena Tournament and I was a low level.

lol

i think its mainly becaus eof your level and the abilities you are using my aqua at that point had tripple blizzaga firaga burst time splicer and other high level spells and attacks

also are you using mainly attacks cause that is a really huge no no with aqua as she is extremely skilled with spells and should only have one or two very powerfull attack skills like time splicer or magic hour also wisshing edge is great since it does three hits in one jump

other than that you should really start grinding especially if you are doing it in proud or critical mode it does work wonders

also with aqua i'd suggest trying to get all the boost abilities maxed out as they really help as well

I just got through Aqua's part. I reckon the problem was that I was underlevelled for most of the game. :hmmm:

I ended up grinding a bit and that helped a lot.

No I hadn't even opened the 'combine/meld/whatever it's called' menu until you mentioned it xD

..and yeah combining new abilities helped out a fair bit. :monster:

I ended up primarily using spells which got the job done, but they probably weren't as powerful as they could've been... except for Firaga Burst which owns :ryan:

Well I'm on to Terra's part now. Hopefully I won't find it as frustrating now I that know some of the ins and outs and I won't feel the need to come here and whine about it. Cheers guys :monster:

if you want i could tell you anything on terras strrngths nd weaknesses just give me a shout if you need help

I noticed that too. I too played aqua first and reach the lilo and stich world and it took so damn long to kill some of the enemies there. I stopped playing her because i didnt know where to go next even with the strategy guide telling me where to go. Instead i picked up terra ( should have been my first choice! such a badass character specially with vens haste thing goin on). and played through alot of it but stopped playing all together because i really disliked the upgrade system. To complicated for me. might have to just go watch the cinematics to get the storyline instead of playing.
