The Ultimate Debate: Pirates or Ninjas?!

I hate this debate...

But anyway!

I'm going with ninjas. Any old beggar off the street could be a pirate; however, ninjas are required to be trained killers. Besides, pirates are known for being fond of booze. They wouldn't stand a chance if they were under the influence.

Peg-legs, hooks for hands and eye-patches aren't much of a help, either. Those things would inhibit their combat ability for sure!

Peg-legs, hooks for hands and eye-patches are just your average pirate costume. Not all pirates have those. Besides, I agree with Koloth. Pirates have guns, swords and ships. Ninjas don't.

But they are stuck with a code of contact. Pirates are not limited by any codes. Besides they can clobber a Ninja quickly, with their big guns. Besides, I heard that Ninjas get sea sick. :monster:

Koloth! Haven't you seen Pirates of Caribbean? xD They do have the code and the code is law, though according to Mr. Gibbs, the code/rules are more like guidelines, but yeah xD Ninjas would be too busy puking to kill pirates :wacky:

True, pirates are able to adapt to most terrain, but on land Ninjas have the advantage. And if they are hidden how can a pirate clobber them with their big guns as you put it?

And technically pirates do have to follow a code of some kind, otherwise they would not function effectively.

Pirates would hardly be considered dangerous if they didn't even follow commands.

Yes, I have seen the Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes, there is a "code", split the profits. But remember, the crew left Jack Sparrow stranded on an island.

Yes, that's why they call the code more like "guidelines" but then again, that was Barbossa betraying Jack, hence why he was left on the island. Wasn't Barbossa Jack's first mate on the Pearl? Anyway, I'd like to see a ninja in Tortuga xD :wacky:

And who did they follow afterwards? And what did they throw him overboard for? Money and power. They removed Jack for Barbossa so they could get the treasure.

It was actually Barbossa that said that. :monster:

Oops! My bad! I just remember Gibbs saying it too :P and FFGuy, I totally cannot believe you're taking this so seriously xD I'm just fucking around with it :wacky: anyway, in the end they were pretty much fucked after they got the treasure, discovering it was cursed. That was their payback for leaving Jack stranded like that, so...:P

I know, I just don't generally take part in dabates so I tend to get... serious, sorta. :wacky:

Just defending the honour of Ninja supremacy XD

Yes, it was mainly Barbossa, his first mate. Pirates learn a certain stealth. Experienced pirates have strealth. Of course, their smell might give them away. Since they never or rarely bath.

Also, a Ninja would not survive a day in Tortuga.

ROFL well, whatever you say there FFGuy :P This is all very humorous to me. Plus why the bloody hell would a ninja be lurking around a pirate ship in the middle of the ocean o_O I didn't think pirates were important enough to be assassinated so it makes no sense to me, but oh well. I still love pirates!

Pooley said:
Gibbs did say it, as did Elizabeth. But it were Barbossa who originally said it.
and yeah, I remember kinda, Pooley. I should go back and re-watch the films :wacky:

Well, considering Ninjas are assassins maybe a pirate was ordered for assassination by someone? Ninjas are reliable assassins overall so pirates would have a run for their money. Especially under cover of darkness.

Yes, but why would a ninja be hired to assassinate a pirate? They're not important enough. Besides, the East India Trading Company just captures 'em and hangs 'em anyway :wacky: ROFL anyway I don't care. I still prefer pirates, especially a certain Captain

FFGuy, you are taking this too seriously. LA is right. Why would a Ninja be assigned to assassinate a pirate?

If anybody remembers Shogun, the Ninja was not successful when he tried to kill Blackthorn. Blackthorn was not even a pirate. Even if he was accused of being one.

Some do slip through though, Jack for instance :wacky: And people do have a tendency to... not lose grudges that well.

Yep and Jack's the sexiest pirate there is, so he's my exception :inlove:
