Though it's never fully explained, I've always wondered where Yojimbo came from, where the temple was that contained the fayth before it was stolen. I always assumed it was Baaj temple, the temple itself was ruined almost destroyed (pressumably by Sin) and Anima hasn't been in the temple very long, so there must have been a fayth there before it, like I said, possibly Yojimbo. What do you people think?

Yojimbo is from the Reniem Temple. If you notice you do not recieve a faythe there.

as for Yojimbo coming from the Baaj temple, if you were to watch the scene before you get Anima from Seymour's mother, it shows Baaj temple as a beautiful home. Baaj temple was Seymour's home with his mother. Once Seymour gained Anima from his mother, he summoned Anima and it destroyed the Temple (apparently; guessed from the story from Seymour's mother).

But Yojimbo is from Reniem temple.

Magnas Sisters.
Yojimbo I think would be a Zanerkind one. The fayth that you see looks like one of the people back in the time period of old Zanerkind and in 10-2 they show that bevelle dressed like they did in 10. And there is a spot where they say something about several missing temples.

You get the Magus Sisters from the Remiem Temple after getting the items to unlock the door inside....

I was inclined to agree with the Baaj temple theory until I read that it was were Seymour lived with his mother....and yeah, you get the MAgus Sisters from Remiem Temple :wacky:

As stupid as this sounds, I just seemed to assume that the temple itself was stolen >_> I never really thought about it until now, HOW someone would be able to nick a whole temple is beyond me, I just don't think these things through, obviously.

I have NO idea where he would have come from, unless the temple he originally came from was destroyed, he can't have been in Zanarkand, because that's where you get the final Summoning

In short, Ive no effing clue

I always presumed that you never actually got to explore the whole of Spira but only key parts as the routes are very linear. Yojimbo's temple could be out the way in a remote part of Spira where your route does not pass through. It would have been nice to have his temple as a location to visit early on in the game to help provide build-up until actually getting him. The real question is how the hell did somebody move a persumably very heavy statue and hide it down a frikkin cavern! ><

I think the most simple explaination would be that Sin destroyed the temple after the fayth was moved.

Other than that, I really don't know where the temple could've been.

I simply can't agree with the theory that Anima destroyed the temple, the damage is colossal, the temple itself has been leveled to the point it's underwater, only Sin or a fiend of same power could have such a thing, I have to agree with flux

Could it have been at the Moonflow, around that area? Where you cross on Zee Shoopuff? You see an ancient city in ruins under-water.

Then again mind, there were alot of ruins around Spira, so could've been anywhere.

Surely their would be evidence of a temple if there was one. All I know is that it was a battleground when summoners fought Sin and the land got torn up becaue of it
Yeah The Temple Could Have Fell Down That Tear And They MOved The Fayth During The Battle With Sin..

When You Get Tidus's Ultimate Weapon U Can See A Ledge/walkway Spiraling Down..

coulda came from bikanel island too....

I always thought Penance resided there but you could be right, are you suggesting there is a path to the cavern and someone sneakily lurked in and stole the fayth while no one was looking?

I agree, I think if it's not said then it's hinted at that there are other aeons and therefore other temples out there. So it could be from any number of unvisited temples that Yojimbo was stolen from.
As for moving it, it was the Al-bhed who stole it, according to Rikku, and because they use Machina, it would be easier for them to move it.

Sn doesn't attack temples though, he attacks towns fulled with people.

Alot of temples are in towns though. Besaid, Bevelle, Kilika temple isn't too far away from the town. Macalania temple is on the doorstep of Guadosalam. Then you have temples like Djose and Baaj etc who are not located that near a town.

With the Baaj temple, that is in ruins and by the looks of it, there could've easily been a town surrounding it. Zanarkand was destroyed and the Cloister of Trials there is sort've in ruins, while the rest of it is complete ruins.

Well, Rikku did mention that machina had moved the fayth down to the sunken cave. =/.

Where they had aquired Yojimbo? I liked the theory of where the city was underwater, the one you found when riding the shoopuff.

Been so long since I last played it I forgot about that. Certainly makes sense.
Thinking about it Yojimbo could have come from one of the Islands near Omega Ruins or something. Being in the East it would certainly fit his theme and the area would have at somepoint been populated by Yevonites at least to some extent because it's where they chose to exile Omega.

Theres alot of so-called unpopulated area in Spira. Makes one wonder why they didn't expand it with new area's in X-2 (like Ivalice) than completly stick with already established area's. Who knows what out in that there wilderness.
