Anyone got the game yet? I'm thinking about buying it in a few weeks, but first I wanna know if there's any big changes to the game, building mode, etc. In previous Sims, you focus on the characters and designing your Sim's house. I enjoyed that - I like building/designing homes, so I'm wondering what makes Sims Medieval different. I know you have your kingdom...so do you actually build and manage the entire kingdom from scratch? How do the characters come into play?

Reviews and feedbacks would be great. =]

I was thinking of starting a thread on this. :lew:

I just picked up the game yesterday. My boyfriend and I were at Wal-Mart and I saw it. I actually hadn't even heard of it until I saw it yesterday.

From what I can tell, you don't actually build your own houses and the gameplay is a lot different. The game is quest-driven (sort of reminds me of an MMO actually) and as you do quests, you gain resource points, XP and quest points. You use resource points to expand your kingdom but you select from predetermined buildings. For example, your castle will need barracks so once you've gathered enough resource points you can build the barracks and hire a knight.

There are several different classes of heroes to choose from; some aren't available until you've built the proper buildings for them. The first hero you choose is a monarch and you begin there. You build up relations and expand your kingdom.

So yeah, it's quite a bit different from the old Sims games and I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't build my own castle. You can furnish the buildings however you want. So far, I am enjoying it. The new interactions and options (like swordfighting) are a lot of fun.

I haven't played it a lot though so I can't tell you all of the differences between this one and Sims 3. :hmmm:
