Not exactly, only Raziel suffered those effects because his soul was meant to be trapped inside the reaver blade. Also Kain wielded the Reaver that contained Raziel's soul twice and nothing happened, remember?

Let me mention how many time Kain wielded the Reaver that contained Raziel's Soul without having his soul being absorbed:
