OOC: Everyone is to write at least their experience in the caravan and getting off of it and being given their compass. Doing something before it is acceptable, or writing past it. Just letting you know where to start. From here on, have fun. If you want to encounter a wild animal(s), PM me!

Maika glanced at Adam hesitantly. "What are you doing here?" She said slowly and accurately. He smiled wryly and got down from the counter-top he'd been sitting on. He looked good in a uniform, and the long, steel sword that he was sheathing made his masculinity impressive, at the least. His moppy, black hair hung just over his eyes, which she'd been lost in too many times before.
"I was hoping you'd be happier to see me..." he said, disappointment prevalent in his voice. If only he knew, she thought. There had been a time when the two of them were together, back in Algiers, but he went back to Italy for a few months, and Maika got too lonely. She didn't want to stay put and talked the army into relocating her to Iguidi. Now, she sat in the lounge at the base, brewing coffee and talking to a long lost love. And he was in uniform.
"Tell me you didn't join the army..." Maika said, her gaze shifting to the floor.
"I did, but not for you." Adam said, "Actually it was because my parents died and..." he stopped, both talking and his walking toward her. He wringed his hands together, uncomfortably. A habit she'd noticed of his long before. "You wouldn't believe how surprised I was when I was told who my commanding officer was going to be." With that, his smile came back and his teeth were white and perfect. A smile she'd have died for, way back when. "I missed you, Maika." He said, softer than the rest of their conversation. "I missed you so much."
The two of them stood awkwardly. Adam waited for her to say something, anything that he wanted to hear, and Maika just stared at the floor, her eyes brimming with tears. Trying not to let him see.
"Don't do that. Please," he begged, "You know I can't stand it when I fuck up." Maika turned around, staring at the blank wall behind her through blurred eyes. She felt him put an arm around her and pull her into his embrace.
Maika hugged him tightly and said, "Don't ever leave me again..."

The caravan bumped along the road, and Maika sat with Adam and Zaphir, her two soldiers in the field. To prevent being caught by surprise, the entire squad of a 300 soldiers would go in groups of three through the wilderness. When finding another group, it was up to the two commanding officers on whether or not to work together, and at that point, whomever had the higher rank would become the sole commanding officer.
Zaphir was quiet, solemn. Maika knew he'd seen a lot, but nowadays everyone had. She drew in a deep and slow breath as the wagon stopped. The three piled out and the driver got out and approached Maika.
"You're on your own from here. I'm to give you this compass. You're in northwestern Zinder right now. Go south to Yaounde, as everyone will. Good luck, and watch out for anything."

As Ingway left his area of the caravan he casually walked over to the seats, two people were sat on either side, as he walked past them they both stood up straight and saluted him.

"Scout Sila and Bombadier Xenti reporting for duty! Sir!" they both announced

Ingway turned to face them both.

"So, you're my supporting officers, I presume you know the nature of missions when you serve under me?" they both nodded their heads "Well then, I hope you are both ready for battle should that eventuality arise?" they both nodded again. "then it's settled, we are heading to Benin, once we depart we are headed for the capital to regroup with allies, is that understood?" ingway finished. "Sir! Yes sir!" They both replied before ending their salute and reseating themselves.

After another 20 minutes the caravan came to a halt.

"Alright, lets get moving."

As he opened the door to the caravan he was immediately blasted by a small sandstorm, not deadly, just blinding.

"Sila, you take the front, Xenti, you cover me, lets stick together till this dies down."

And in this slow formation they walked, braving the sandstorm, slowly making toward the capital, guided by a compass.

Vaz,Ophiel and Johnathan were waiting at the caravan.
''So we are 3 privates in one team, who will be our leader?''Johnathan said with a serious style.
''Me cause I am the strongest.''Vaz said and smiled.
''Hey that's not fair I will be because I am more experienced in the war.''Johnathan said angry.
''How about asking Ophiel?''Vaz said and turned to Ophiel.
''I don't know the only thing I know is that I don't want to be the leader.''Ophiel said and sat in a seat.(he was standing up before).
''Thanks a lot.''Vaz said in an angry tone.
''Hmmm what will we do?''Johnathan said worried.
''We will find the right leader with a very good method, the coin toss''Vaz said and everybody started laughing.
Finally they chose Johnathan as their leader because of his experience.

Suddendly the Caravan stopped, and they walked off it.
''Now lads, let's follow the compass and Vaz,please wear more up your trousers;you have them so low and they will fall''Johnathan said laughing and they started walking.

(This is my first time playing an rp and my English might be a little bit false).

Ophiel, before entering the caravan, was assigned to caravan number 13. The other occupants were unknown to him and their methods as well. When he entered in it, there wasn't a single person in it. He looked around and stood there. After a couple of minutes another person arrived and another one.

Vaz: "Hi, i'm Vaz Nike. You are you two? We are partners now."

Johnathan: "Hey there. I'm Johnathan Farazock. Nice to meet you, and you are?"

Ophiel: "I'm Ophiel Marz but, you can just call me Ophiel. It's also nice to meet you all."

Dmitrev finished re-assembling his rifle and lay it to one side before drawing a hunter's blade from the inside of his left boot. It had belonged to his father, and was in exceptional condition considering how long it had been since Dmitrev "inherited" it. He looked up the edge with an eye just as keen and sharp. It was his own personal routine and policy to ensure that all weapons were in prime condition before rushing out into the field. He didn't want to get into the middle of a cross-fire, only to find that all he had to fight with were his fists and some stones. Of course, there was always magic, but he was an adept in Dark, and the demons were more often than not entirely uncontrollable. He'd only ever risked its full extent once in the past, and he had no desire to do it again in a hurry. No, it was much wiser to diligently check all his weaponry in advance.
He had made the two privates who were assigned to his squad perform the same ritual (he liked to refer to it as such), but he got the feeling their hearts weren't quite in it as his was, for they had both long since holstered their weapons and taken to lounging about in the back of the rickety old caravan. Lt. Kraspek shook his head as he returned the blade to its home. Fucking new recruits, he thought. They only learn when they've lost something. Dmitrev didn't recognise the younger of the two privates sitting opposite him, but he'd seen Pvt. Jahar on a couple of occasions, and he had always been impressed by his athleticism. The other, Pvt. Rickler, had a hardened look about him, even though Lt. Kraspek knew that he'd been in the army no less than two months. That was something he'd quickly decided would be a great trait to this mission. Very great indeed.
"We're approaching the drop zone now, sir", the driver of the caravan called into the back, bringing Lt. Kraspek from his own mind. "If you would like to complete your preparations."
"Roger", Dmitrev replied. He looked both the Privates in the eye for their briefing, as he saw it. "I don't particularly know either of you well, and neither of you know me either. I'll say this now; do not fucking cross me or disobey me. Follow my orders, and exactly my orders and we'll all live through this. Stay close to me at all times, and don't do anything unless I command you to do so. Am I understood?" The two men didn't reply, but nodded in affirmitive. Pvt. Jahar went back to staring off into the distance, while Rickler cradled his head in his hands. Lt. Kraspek decided to check his weapons again, for good measure.

Several minutes later, the caravan rolled to a stop, and the three of them were ready and out before the driver even had time to put the hand brake on. "Lt. Kraspek!" the driver called as he climbed out behind Jahar and ahead of Rickler. Dmitrev walked round to the driver's side, where the driver handed a compass to him out of the open window. "Good luck, sir", he said, saluting. Dmitrev returned the salute and the caravan pulled away. He took a few moments to get his bearings from the surroundings, and from the compass. Of the 3 man squads, his was the Western-most, and they were to head South East into Cameroonian territory. The Privates stood at either shoulder, and together the three of them began to head off South East.

The three stood casually, each facing away from another. The caravan was gone, and the fight had begun. The dead silence in the forest was intimidating. "Well," Maika said in an attempt to ease the nervous mind they all shared, "South is...that way." Her right hand raise from her side and pointed in a seemingly random direction. The two began to follow as she lead the way through the dense underbrush.
The cracking of twigs, snapping of branches as they maneuvered in their cost-efficient (which isn't much, since no country has any money now) uniforms, the dark green helmet and the camouflage pattern of their outfit.
"I uhh," Adam paused for a few moments, "I honestly didn't ask them to place me in your crew." When Maika didn't say anything, Adam continued, "But it makes me really happy that I get to die with you."

--------------

"Just through here," Maika shouted to her team. "You better move your ass though. The border of Zinder and Niamey is just through here, and we should be seeing some Cameroonian soldiers any time now." Maika's ash gray bounced upon her shoulders, and she adjusted the hair clip that she used to keep her vision clear. The three moved silently through the towering trees, that eclipsed the area in eternal darkness. Looking up, one would see the branches of trees, too close together for their size, intertwining, overgrowing each other, the leaves of the Jackalberry and Marula trees blocking the view of anything more than a few hundred feet up. The tops of the trees, along with the sky, were hidden far behind.
"Uza kubhubha!" The shout came from in front of the group, and Maika pulled her short sword from its sheath on her hip. With a single hand motion, the squad dropped down onto their hands and knees and began crawling. The three crawled into a section of deeper bushes and shrubs, hiding among the plantlife of the Zinder/Niamey forest. Shortly after disappearing into the wild, they heard voices nearby, in the regional dialect. Looking toward Zaphir, Maika put a hand to her ear and he nodded his head. 'Good,' she thought. 'He knows what they're saying.'
Parting the bush, Maiks counted five opposing soldiers, and from where she could see only one of them had a firearm. Maika made another brief hand motion behind her back and Zaphir followed. Standing up straight, the India native stood at six and a half feet tall, a towering figure with a military-issued rifle trained on the one Cameroonian with a long-range weapon. The five turned and froze, unknowing how to respond.
The one with the firearm spoke quietly and softly, "Please do not shoot. It would be hazardous for your health..." Maika and Adam sat, crouched out of sight, and not knowing what the Cameroonians were saying. Maika motioned for Adam, and he slowly stood up, his short sword held out at arm's length. He slowly began to walk toward the nearest Cameroonian. One that stood at an average height, with a dark complexion. His hair was long and dirty, and in thick braids that hung about his shoulders. The soldier with the pistol turned and pulled it from its holster-
And Zaphir pulled the trigger. The soldier fell back violently as his body became riddled with a few short bursts. One of the other soldiers leaped forward, bearing a large hunting knife in his left hand. Adam grabbed the long-haired Cameroonian And held his short sword to his throat.
"Stop or I fucking kill him!" Adam shouted. The left-handed knifeman stopped in his tracks, his bare chest heaving violently. Although he didn't know English, he seemed to understand the point. Maika stood up slowly and began to speak, Zaphir translating along the way.
"We have more soldiers in the area and they must have heard the gun. If you want to live, then you will all lay down your weapons. Don't bother trying to pull any bullshit- if I even smell any, we'll kill one of you." When Zaphir finished translating, the four just stood there. Then, over the soft sounds of distant birds and the heavy panting of seven individuals coming down from the adrenaline of war, they heard it loud and violent.
The low growl of a lion, coming from nearby. Maika amplified the noises of the lion, and everyone's head turned toward east. "Keep the gun on them," Maika said as she slowly walked to the corpse and took his pistol and holster. She checked to make sure it was ready to fire, and then began to slowly move in the direction of the lion.
"Maika..." Adam whispered, but she didn't turn around. She had her eyes on a glint of white fur that laid between some trees. The Albino lion began to slowly creep along the damp soil, recently trampeled on. She slowly raised the gun from her hip and aimed it at the approaching lion. It beared its teeth, and Maika pulled the trigger.
The lion jumped and Maika heard one of the Cameroonian soldiers exclaim in broken english, "Shit! Her gonna fucking die!" Which was followed by nervous laughter from the other three. The bullet, meanwhile, fell to the soil without a sound. She shot off another round, and this time watched closely as the lion growled and the bullet's speed slowed until it fell, once more. The process, taking no more than a second or two, was worrying at the least. It leaped one more time and Maika rolled out of the way, shooting twice more. When she stood up again, she saw Zaphir turn and shoot at the scrambling Albino lion, and the dozen bullets he shot met the same demise as the others. Then another roar was heard, bu the albino sat still.
"Shit," the same Cameroonian said, one with a shaved head and a mulatto complexion. "Us all is gonna die, isn't us?" His eyes looked at Adam, and Adam shook his head.
"Zaphir!" Maika said, "If they agree, will they be willing to fight with us against the lions, and still remain prisoner?" His eyes looked from the captives individually, and then he began to speak in Xhosa.
"I...I sure as hell hope so, but we have to take the chance. We know that if there isn't just one, then there are at least three." Maika nodded and pulled her short sword back out. Adam released his prisoner and he took the sword.
"What's your name?" Zaphir said calmly to the braided man.
"Ezra. You're Zaphir, as I understand. We'll go where you need to take us if we survive these damn lions."
As if on cue, The albino barbary lion leapt into the air, and Maika ducked forward, causing the lion to over shoot its target. As a second jumped from an unseen location, in landed heavily on the mulatto Cameroonian. He dropped his knife and reached both of his hands toward the lion's face, trying to push it away. It took less than a minute for the lion's claws to fully disembowel the man, his arms falling limply to his side as it ripped its paws from his innards.
Ezra came down onto the back of the lion, his sword impaling its skull and causing to to fall onto the dead man below it. Two more lions came into view, and the albino lion was backing Maika in their direction. As Maika began to look around, she saw that two more lions had come out to occupy Ezra, Zaphir, and Adam. She closed her eyes, breathed deeply, and said, "As the angels sing their songs of the Lord, we shall rejoice in his word. As the demons run throughout our world, we shall fight the angels' war." The lions, Adam, Zaphir and the remaining Cameroon prisoners all dropped to the ground, covering their ears as a shrill sound cut into their minds. Her breathing becoming heavier, more ragged, she focused her magic solely onto the lions, allowing her allies to stand. With their hunting knives, they cut the throats of each lion, and hastily moved from the area, taking the weapons back from the Cameroon soldiers.

Squad: Maika, Adam, Zaphir
PoWs: Ezra, Dramian, Aquul

The squad was walking and walking and walking when Vaz started talking''Damn, how much must we walk boss?'' ''Can't we stop?''
''Oh come on i think we are near.''Johnathan said.''But that's what you said before 20 minuites when Vaz asked the same question!''Ophiel said surprised.
Ok then we will take a break''.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The guys stopped and started eating when they heard a strange noise.
''Johnathan did you farted?''Vaz said worried.''No,man that didn't sounded like a fart.''Johnathan answered.''Then wha''Vaz was going to say when suddendly 2 tigers appeared.''Team get in battle formations, enemy appeared.''Johnathan said and grabbed his knife. The tiger was ready to hit Ophiel but Vaz hit it whith his axe and killed it.Then Ophiel run and hit the other tiger but it evaded the attack, then Johnathan run and cut it's neck whith a fast attack.
''Ah,this was an ambush.''Ophiel said frightened.''Piece of cake.''Vaz said with a smile on his face.''Alright squad let's get going''Johnathan said and they started walking...

(OCC: -.-... Spechless... Ophiel = not scared with just that. The rest it's k but, (did u read mah bio) Ophiel's reaction... No.)

The forest was dense, and the trek was by no means an easy one. Lt. Kraspek was quite surprised that Private Rickler was managing to keep the pace. For his height and deceptively young looks, he was remarkably fit. But then again, you had to be better than the best these days to survive.
More than once when they were bypassing particularly thick concentrations of trees, they came rather close to wild animals, but luckily they managed not to cause any disturbance. Dmitrev constantly referred to the compass he had been provided with to ensure that they didn't stray from their path too much. If they found themselves in the wrong location by even a hundred yards, they could massively compromise the success of the mission, and he didn't want to be the one responsible for that.

It was about four hours after they had been dropped by the caravan and started their journey by foot, that Pvt. Rickler stopped and tracked back to Dmitrev.
"Sir", he said. "There's a large clearing in the forest just ahead. It looks like it could be the perfect place to plan an ambush." Dmitrev's mind instantly began to race as he calculated the possibilities that could entail. If there was indeed a Cameroonian ambush ahead, then three soldiers were not enough to win that in a fire fight. It would take more skill and precision than that.
"Roger that, Private", he said to Rickler. "Alright you two, on me. Stay low and stay silent", he said a little louder, to them both. Rickler moved to Dmitrev's back, by Pvt. Jahar's side. Lt. Kraspek shouldered his rifle, and they began to progress slower, until the clearing came into sight. Dmitrev held up his right hand to signal the two Privates to halt, and crouched slightly as he advanced on the clearing. From his new position, he had a good view of the clearing, and sure enough, it looked the perfect place to ambush un-suspecting travelers. He crept back to Rickler and Jahar to give the instructions. "Alright, as Pvt. Rickler informed, there is a large clearing. And by entering this clearing as blindly as we may have, we'd be nothing but cannon fodder", me murmured to his two subordinates. "Pvt. Jahar, you are to take the right flank. Search out any hostiles and eliminate them. Pvt. Rickler, you take the left flank. Eliminate any hostiles you come across. I want clean, quiet kills. We can't afford to give away our position. I'll remain at the edge of the clearing and provide any cover either of you require. If you require help, call like a monkey, twice. I'll come to you. When the area is clear - three calls. Understood?" They both nodded and set off to their designated side of the clearing. Lt. Kraspek moved to a tree at the near edge of the clearing and waited.
After several heart-thumping moments, Kraspek heard three monkey calls from the opposite side of the clearing. He shouldered his rifle once more and took tentative a step into the clearing. There was no immediate fire, so he advanced a little further, constantly checking high in the trees for an enemy sniper. He made it to the opposite side unscathed and met Pvt. Rickler and Jahar there. Both had blood on their hands, and a little on their face. "Report", he commanded.
"Three Cameroonian scouts, sir", Jahar told him. Rickler reported the same figure. "It's clear that they knew we were coming."
"Shit", Dmitrev cursed. "Alright, silent and swift now. We need to make it out of here alive." After another brief check of the compass, they set off South again at a quicker pace, desperate to escape the enclosed space where they were now expecting an attack at any minute.

"HEEYA!" Nida yelled, slashing down a nearby beast. Already weakened from some arrows, the beast fell. Nida grinned and shouldered his axe. "nice work people" Nida called to his squad, who stepped out of shadows or fell from trees. The ones from the trees held bow and arrows, the shadows with swords easily concealed. Nida himself had his own axe for fighting. This made up General Nida's quick reaction force. Stealth, range, and brute strength were enough to take down any but the most powerful of wild beasts. "Ok, let's go regroup with everyone else."Nida said, turning to leave when he heard a roar. "shit, counter positions, now!" Nida called, bringing his axe into a battle stance. wolves stalked out of the woods, all of them snarling. "shit, we got trouble. Hit em hard and fast boys!!!" Nida shouted, lowering his axe slightly and running towards them with a battle cry. The stealth forces went back into the shadows to circle them and backstab, while arrows whizzed by Nida as the archers stuck at them. "DIE MONSTERS!" Nida roared, swinging his axe down upon one of the wolves' skull.

OOC: i know, straight into battle, but Doaj already made his post about the caravan had left. So, Nida, as a general, encountered beasts pretty quickly with his squad. You guys can join if you want. If i overstepped in any way Doaj, let me now man.

The soldiers were walking when Johnathan commamded them to stop.''Look at my compass.Do you see the yellow star? It's the place we must go!''Johnathan said excited.''Time to bring an end to our punishments.''Vaz said relieved.''I don't think so.The place we must go is a Cameroonian base under that cliff.''Ophiel said and they walked to the edge of the cliff.''Oh that's impossible.''Johnathan said.''That's a challenge.''Ophiel said.''Hey I have got an idea.I'll throw a fire ball to the oil tank to make an explosion. Then Johnathan will shoot the guard at the guard towers and I with Ophiel will run down to the base and start killing the soldiers.''Vaz said.''Hmm it's a little bit difficult but it's a good idea. When I'll say 3 we will start.1,2,3.''Johnathan said and they started.
Vaz threw a fire ball and the people at the base were frightened, before they understang what happened Johnathan took his rifle and started shooting the guards. Then Ophiel and Vaz jumped off the cliff and run to the base.Ophiel saw a Cameroonian soldier with a sword running to hit him,but Ophiel started turnig and cut him into pieces with his blades. Then two other soldiers appeared but Ophiel raised his hands and threw two chaotic bombs(Something like fireballs)and killed them.Vaz enterd a small building were 4 soldiers were there.''Dοn't hit us please, this is an infirmary''A soldier wearing white clothes said.''Drop your weapons.''Vaz commanded.''Ok,ok.''They answered.''Now move out of the building with your hands up.''Vaz commanded and they moved out.Suddendly somebody started shooting them and he killed them it was Johnathan.''Hey what are you doing they were hostages.''Vaz yelled at him.''Well now they aren't.''Johnathan said smiling. In some seconds Ophiel came.''The place we must go exactly is that large building.''Johnathan said looking at his compass.''Let's go!''
