This is true lol. Emile does like using his shotgun as a sniper. Btw tispy you might be talking about Jun(green sniper dude) Emile is the one with the badass skull helmet and shotgun xD. Btw I am hitting commander II tomorrow. Only doing the daily challenges now and such.

I remember getting Halo 3 and doing the campaign first,but I didnt have online at the time. I did the same thing in reach,campaign first, overall,the campaign was good, but the noble team should have been called the suicidal team lol cuz they sacrifice themselves, except for Jun cuz he dies later in the books. All their deaths were pretty epic, Jorge has been my favorite of the team but I didnt like how he decided to sacrifice himself to save the planet(tossing his helmet away like as he means nothing), the planets destroyed anyways at the end oof the game. But jorge was kick ass, he had epic scenes, I have his voice in firefight, I have a figurine of him, and I have his helmet on my current spartan. And wtf stupid rumor of nerds thinking he didnt die but was brought to the covenant and turned into the arboter. just wrong but the theory of these nerds have strong implication of him being the arbiter,but still its wrong. >_>

I see that this rank cap has been lifted, and im still a major due to my inactivity on my 360 for a little while, I will resume playing online when I get gold and start playing infection perhaps. I dont show much concern of my rank, I see the only reason for it is for getting credits to buy goods, while everyone else is so high to show off. It wont be the game that I will play all the time, but I wont leave it cuz the map packs will be out soon. Best part 4 reach imo is the forge system to forge awesome maps that gives you crazy ideas. Forge world has been the best map to forge as of yet, and the new maps dont look as good to forge then forge world, but it all matters when I have to play the maps. >_>

it quite badly needs some new maps added soon. i've lost pretty much all interest in online now because i've gotten bored of the lack of variety.

If the maps would have not been announced sooner then I would have been half intrested in this game, or even a quarter intrested due to some of my favorite games coming out soon, like black ops. Im not impressed with the old maps that much, especially the online ones on forge world, so unbalanced in my opinion. What I dont like about online is that like 90% you will result in ar or dmr clash with som1 else that has the same weapon, and im always the one that usually goes down. Im fine with elite slayer though, using needlers is pretty fun and you get to choose a set of weapons and the proper abilities in the class.
 
We have a Official Reach thread? Cool! I hope this isn't too much of a necro, but I've been playing for a while and just got around to trying the story part of it and wanted to discuss it. Unless this thread is only there for online discussion? >.<

I have only played two of those Noble Maps once each. I have yet to place in the snowy level, which looks like its really fun xD

I also finally got my account back, but it looks like they cleaned out all my work on my previous play of Reach (I was already a Sergent then, I had to regain my status) and weirdly, it happened to me on Halo 3 by two ranks. (and all of my work in Call of Duty is gone :/ )

I have been playing the game since I got sick. I can't play Firefight, something I enjoy more than Matchmaking (weird, I know.), because I don't want Bungie banning me if something happens and I get kicked off the servers (I hear you get banned...)

Has anyone else noticed that if you play as a female, you run faster? Or if you are a guy, their punches are a lot more powerful? Or is this just me...?

They only ban you if you idle I guess. But seeing as you are a low rank they wont really care. Just dont idle and you will be fine. Also no your punches arent stronger as a male nor do you run faster as a female :lew:. I really find this game fun and thats why I am at Legend Rank xD. Well once I become Mythic Ill just be playing casually.

Also Defiant map pack is out today! I am going to get it when I jump on the Xbox in a bit. 800 Microsoft points.

Whoo, that's a relief to know, I really enjoy Firefight. Some people on Bungie (members) said if you have a low connection and lag out, they will think you are boosting. I had a hard time believing it, but I just wanted to make sure xD

When I recorded games, it looks like the females ran faster and then I compared the punches and it only took one back punch to kill the enemy, but two while a female.

I was thinking about getting the new map pack today, I saw two really cool looking levels. But I need to wait until I can get a card to get it... :(

Kat was instantly my favorite. And I couldn't help but notice while playing campaign, she was the only one to fight face-to-face with the enemy with a pistol and nearly succeed in killing them off herself :eek:

I always thought she was Russian, but my brothers say she's French...she doesn't sound French.

And what's up with the guy who carries the Turret? Why doesn't he ever put it down? I never see him kill anything with it >.>

Yeah Legend is right after Hero xD. I takes a really hellish long time to tank up at my rank though. Oh you are on bungie? xD. Yeah same here but that place is nothing but complaints. Yeah the new map pack is really cool. I really love Highlands as the map is really huge and the action isn't a straight line. Condemned plays like anchor IX a bit and to me is really cool as well. Uneathed is the Firefight map you get with it and I just played it. Pretty fun! It is the biggest FF map in the game!

I guess Jorge the puts it down because he prefers that weapon xD. Jorge is awesome D=/

Wow, you are at a really high level! I just wish I was a Colonel so I can get the Chest armor with the torn cape :D

....I think my brother is half way through Hero right now. He plays it too much and takes it too seriously xD

Nope, I'm not on Bungie...I can't be on Bungie, they will ban my brothers if I go there. Siblings share the same IP and I guess they don't think people can have siblings. :( But I do use my brothers account (with their permission) to ask questions from time to time :)

A FireFight map? Oh yea! I definitely have to get it now. What's it look like? Is it a forest/desert? *hopes for a forest*

Are there any levels that's in between big and small? I hate it when levels are too big and it takes you nearly five minutes each time you die and get back, just to get back to the action lol

Haha I do not take the game seriously really. It is just all in good fun to me =]. Yeah some levels are middle sized. Well it is sort of a desert really and a facility as well xD. Also yeah Bungie has strict rules :sad:. Ah Colonel isnt that long. Just get through warrant officer III and become a cpatain and you will be fine. It isnt too long once you hit Commander as you start getting more credits xD. Also Noble team are so unhelpful! I agree there xD.

I play for fun as well. If no one wanted to play with me, I wouldn't play the game. I only find it fun when I'm playing with a group, which is one of the reasons why I don't like playing the story of the games, because I'm usually alone and my connection is too slow to allow people to play with me >.>

I remember playing Halo 3 and going through Warrant Officer...it was tough. Do some ranks lessen points or require more points to go up levels? Because it certainly appears so when I go through Warrant Officer (had two accounts on Reach, and it was tough each time xD).

A friend of mine tried to show me a cR cheat (I don't know what you call it) in Campaign on the level Oni: Sword Base where you just get a check point with this little hand gun that calls in hits from airships and then once you kill all the enemies, you restart the check point and then keep doing it to earn cR. I said I didn't want to do it because it was a cheat and I might get in trouble :p

Oh thank goodness. I thought my game was flawed or something. Jun and Kat were the only ones hitting things, but they hardly ever killed anything. And whenever I get into a car, Kat drives me into a boulder and sits then until I die....I think she's doing it on purpose. :ryan:

Yeah your brother can probably beat me xD. What is his gt? Ill look him up on bungie.net xD. In Halo 3 the ranked playlists ere pretty much hard. I mean I only ever got a 48 out of 50. It was impossible for me to get General in that game xD. Nah the Oni sword base thing is not cheating. You can do it but you are a low rank so I recommend you did it a bit later xD. Well when you pass Warrant officer III it gets easy to rank up but then when you hit Captain, the major grades arent so long. The Captain grades are very easy to get by. The top person is Reclaimer now and he does something to prevent getting banned. He does IDLE A LOT. Once he is Inheritor(God you got to have no life to get that) he will be reset. I can not wait to see his face when Bungie reset+ ban him xDDD.

Wow I haven't played this game in forever. I think I'm just about to hit my Major. I know for sure I'm a Captain because I got that achievement.

I doubt I've played this since early November though. I don't plan on getting any of the new maps, but I did see a new set is coming out soon.

Yeah you always playing Modern Warfare II or something lol. Well I remember playing with you a bit and it was fun xD. Yeah if I remember you are a grade II captain or something along that. The defiant maps just came out yesterday. I really like Highlands better than condemned. Well there are two map packs out so far Noble and Defiant. Are you planning on playing again?

I'm not sure what his GT is...he changes his gamertag a lot lol All I know is, he's just a little into Hero? Or it might be a little before Hero :P Oh, thanks for the link! I'll look at it now. :3

Completing the daily and week challenges certainly helped me to the last grade in Warrant Officer. I had to stop for the night...though I will miss out on the Winter level challenge, sadly :( I can't wait until I'm pass WO, it goes so slow. >.>

(I'm only Gunnery Sergeant, Grade 1 on TheBlakkWolf. But on my other account that died, PearlTerra, I was at Lieutenant, Grade 2 xD)

I don't get why people idle. How is it fun to get a rank that way? >.> Well, maybe if he is reset/ban, he will learn his lesson. But honestly, I don't get why Bungie gets so angry over it. :hmm:
 
I'm not as into Reach as I was Halo 3, though I thoroughly enjoy playing the game. Since only a handful of people still play Halo 3 matchmaking (it takes forever to find matches), I only play Reach anymore.

Wasn't happy about HAVING to purchase $20.00 of additional content just to play multiplayer, however. After playing for roughly 3 hours, I still hadn't encountered a match with one of the mappack maps. Ah, well.

As for ranking, I'm only a Grade 3 Warrant Officer.
 
I'm usually on Reach myself. I finally hit Major, and am currently a Major Grade 2. Just been doing challenges to help with my rank, and contrary to popular belief, I'm not half bad at the game, if people would actually play onlline with me to find out. :hmph:
 
Well I have been playing for quite a bit. I just made Eclipse and I am proud of it. You know bungie reset like thousands of people who were idling firefight/games? I never do that. All my games are played the right way. Yeah I know I said I would stop at Mythic... and now I am Eclipse. Oh brother... I will not be ranking up for a huge amount of time now. That doesn't matter though, the Eclipse rank looks badass. :ohoho: Ill still be playing. Just not so much.
 
Eclipse? Dang! That's a lot of playing, or least, a lot of excellent work/team work xD

Oh man do I miss FireFight. My brothers will kill me if I ever play it. But it was my favorite part...next time they aren't home, I'm gonna play it. Sadly, not on my account though.
