The music video Square Enix Wants banned

I love that catchy tune. If the video had been something else, then maybe it would've gotten better response and whatnot.
 
I think they can use this music video to advertise the film, just put a little tag at the end of the song
"A Reanactment of a scene from the film Final Fantasy VII Advent Children" that way both company's win.
 
It's clear why SE don't appreciate this and they have every right to demand that it is removed. However, as was said, it'd be beneficial to make use of this.

EDIT:
The fact that the song is quite good and the music is very catchy shows that SE stand to gain more than they stand to lose by allowing this video to stay. If they made songs like this for every production, I'd imagine they'd increase their profits by a hefty sum.
 
How..bizarre. I never thought I would ever see something like this. The Japanese sure are a strange people. However I agree with Riku what is SE's problem? They are getting free advertising and fans of this singer may then want to see the film. I think a tag at the end is the best thing for this situation. Then again straight sueing them has a much more short term monetary effect...

This video is old, but can I say this ... it's taken Square-Enix quite long to respond to something like this.
 
A direct rip from a production they worked at, which this band are presumably claiming as their own work... people are wondering what Square Enix's problem is?

I think the singer is actually Korean not Japanese...either way the video is cringe-worthy and I don't blame SE for acting the way they are, they may choose to use this to their advantage yet

I agree, of course SE are pissed at them. How would you like your work taken, totally trashed cause lets face it that video was bad and then they pass it off as their own!?

As stupid as the song and the video is...the song is really catchy...even though you cant understand most of it....The girl is a real cutie tho :D
 
I don't see a real problem with this, but maybe it's a whole copyright thing. Or maybe it's the fact I only watched the first half of it and missed something at the end; who knows.

It's sort of unoriginal and of course just a cheesy rip-off, so in the end I don't care what happens to it. They got their 15 minutes of fame, and now it's a thing of the past.
 
actually they didnt get there 15 mins of fame....there actually really popular in japan or wherever there from but the video is just a waste of time,fair enough to them with the idea and stuff..but they didnt actually need to copy every single detail of the fight in ac right down to marlene throwing the materia at loz
 
I know that this video unashamedly copied AC, but i think it can be forgiven as it is just about the tackiest and most god awful thing i've ever seen.

I do have to admit however, as much as i hate j pop, this song is pretty catchy, they ripped off Fur Elise.....you can also hear a bit of MGS 3, at the very end if you listen closely...:P
 
yes i can see why SE were not happy about this although the video was pretty good and was just like the film just with actors. i wonder how good it would have been if the whole film would have been made from actors instead of all CGI
