i've noticed post count appears to be important here

most of the time some moderator warns somebody for what is considered "trolling" (eventhough they go off-topic just once to ask or reply to somebody) they say "this is a board with post-count so please don't troll"

is that post count really that important? what does it give you?

i really think it's a pointless thing to use it as an arguement to prevent trolling because it think it's such a useless thing...

so, could i get an answer please? thank you!

The point of it is to aid in the prevention of spammers gaining a large post count, and making the forum known for allowing it.

FFGuy somehow managed to be on a level where it's JUST above the intolerance limit... but he still needs to have more than half his posts wiped imho. :monster:

This is why we need a rep system. If we did, I would be a baller, ableit my 180 post count, and FFGuy would be the FFF equivalent of an 'untouchable'

PS: In before FFGuy posts a one line comment about how post count doesn't matter, adds a smiley, and refers to his own post count, yet is completely oblivious to what we've been saying because he hasn't read a whole thread in his career here.

Both post count and rep points are overrated. I have gotten repped for stupid posts. Rep is based on opinion. Post count could be an accumulation of border line spam.

The rep system won't work here, purely because half of the people would do it to make their e-p3n0r bigger. Even with strict rules, it would crash and burn and just be an annoyance to the quality members.[/seriousinput]

Wait, what does trolling have to do with post count?

Trolling is sorta like instigating a flame-war and causing another person to lash back at you because of what you said/did...

Anyways...at an old FFF forum I was at, the Admin restarted his post count whenever he hit 1,000 just to show he didn't give a flying fuck about the number below his name. Not a big move, but it does send a message.

i've had some mods here saying "this is a forum with post count, please refrain from trolling"

i don't see the link, that's why i'm asking what the link is...

HAHAHA well whoever related a post count to trolling...I laugh at. lol I'd give you the right to publicly humiliate them for 1 minute if we found out who it was. That's some funny stuff. Sure I didn't know what trolling meant for a while, so I never used it to blame someone for doing something.

Mainly I found out what trolling was once "Fields" started taking an active role on the forum.
