Well, good luck on it I guess. It may not be too bad of a challenge since Kefka may divert most of his attention towards your other characters surrounding Celes at the time of battle.
my added challenge would be to go into the last battle with all your characters dead/knock out in order for it to be a real Celes-Only challenge.

Good luck to you... but I honestly have no clue if you'll be able to do it. It's not that your strategy is poor, because it isn't. But Kefka could easily throw you a cheap shot and wipe you out. I have no clue what level any of your characters are and/or how difficult the Kefka fight actually is. With any luck you'll whoop his ass.

thats the plan to go in with them already knocked out
Celes is currently lvl 40 and has a mighty 109% mblock and 223 mdef currently, working on getting it up as close to mblock max, only a few things i need to pick up to achive that as well as odin/raiden for speed bumping and quick (at ancient castle now to pick it up) as well as grabbing phoenix to train life 3 (to survive kefkas cheapshots)
my tactics will rely mainly on not using cheap and easy ways to win x-magic ultima and offering relic coupled with quick for stupidly insane attacks rounds, out to do it the good old fashioned way no ultima double spam....no 4 attacks every 1-2 seconds just good old fashioned mudhole stomping
Still intending to roll with non-super gear (offering and ultima, but i will be wanting x-magic to quickly get haste and shell off) as i feel thats where the real challenge lies

I kinda (like 4 hours into it) started FFVI. I figured the last boss was Kefka b/c and a real bee-otch... but ya never know who the last boss might be.
For example: FFIX boss died in the middle of the game... garnets mom, who would have guessed it.

should be ready tomorrow now to start attempt 1, currently up to 129 mblock (the cap is 139) just one more thing to obtain and ill be ready

Gear/spells Banned from use: Offering (cheap) Ultima (extremely cheap) x-zone (although this wont work since kefka is the last boss, its to avoid any chance of glitch fluking) Vanish/doom cheat combo (this glitch works way too well so its definatley banned) x-magic/quick combo with offensive magics x2 (can use 1x offensive magic but not 2 as it falls into the realms of cheap) offensive use of LIFE, LIFE2 or phenix down to insta-kill the undead part of the kefka battle.
should have the paladin shield by tomorrow the latest, done all the learning i need to do under odin and how now transformed him to raiden and learned quick, true testament to the absolute power of celes with quick x-magic, totally obliterated master magister without him getting a single hit in (other than ultima, but thats where life3 comes in handy
), so Ill be adding constant spell casting while under quick status from x-magic to the ban list, quick x-magicing will only be allowed to drain mp back, heal, remove status effects or re-cast defences (haste, shell, safe +life 3) or using one offensive + one defensive spell (i.e meteor + regen)
best of luck to anyone also attempting this, its going to be quite a challenge to down kefka without the cheap tricks and should be a lot of fun
Also decided against using the paladin shield as I find the Aegis shield does the job great anyway
attempt 1: Kefka defeated, but shadow countered before he could be doomed on tier 2
will have a re-record tomorrow since ive ran outta time today unequiped all chars except celes and killed a large amount of them off (in case of tier jumping)
other than that, kefka landed all of 2 hits on celes the entire fight (fallen one and goner) it was insanley easy to do, even without the cheap tricks and not capped level.
hopefully the re-record will go well and ill be able to post the vid tomorrow for you all to see

There was no need to delete the first post, this can be confusing to people reading this topic for the first time AND other people may have been interested in the challenge, for that reason I'm gunna have to move this over to Final Fantasy Fun, there seems little point in leaving this thread here, if all they have to view now is the youtube videos
