Sorry yankers, it's the real football. :monster:

So how many of you actually play football? I know DR at least does.
I'm a 'keeper about 95% of the time, and I like to think I'm a pretty good one at that. I'm not the tallest, but I'm pretty agile which helps. My distribution in general is poor though. =[
If I'm not playing there, I tend to be right wing. I can get myself into space, and I'm quick (ish). I can put a pretty good ball into the box too, which is strange since my goal kicks are terrible. xD

I play alot.

I played for a team last year and I often player left mid or upfront. Not the fastest player you'll see but probably one of the skillfulest - not that I'm bigging myself up lol. From a young age I was always slow so I dedicated most of my time to learning tricks and flicks to get past people.

I scored something like 7 goals in 15 games playing Left Mid though so thats not too bad.

My main strengths are probably: shooting, passing, set peices. And I also always take gambles, similar to Larsson in the way that he wouldn't let anything go, and would bank on a defender making a mistake etc... I scored a couple due to that :)

I was playing on Saturday with Ex Celtic player Frank McGarvey and current U19s player Carlo Monti :)

Love playing the game though, its great. I don't play as much in the past 4 months though due to a girrrlll coming between me and the ball  Shessworthitbut. But aye, need to get playing more often.

I only really play 5s or 7s now since I left that team last season.

Support Celtic

I haven't played for a team for about a year. I was in a 5-a-side league with some guys from work, and we finished top with maximum points.
I don't really want to play for a full 11-a-side team. Not that I don't like playing in such a big squad or anything; I just fancy playing in a 5/7-a-side league.

Ahh, I played 5s with guys from work aswell. It was funny, they were in a really shit league (power league division 5) or something, and basically I got my pal to play for us and we were winning games 20-1 and stuff haha. We were like top scorers in Powerleague throughout Scotland.

Then I quit the job, told them I done my cruiciate ligaments in and never answered any of there calls :D

We were actually really good. I can't remember the league name or anything, but they have a website; gameon-sports.com
We had a pretty tough league too, one team was full of violent chavs and another was captained by a former professional footballer. He never made it big though, but he still has a lot of skill. When we played them, that was the only game in which we didn't score at least 3. xD

I only played team soccer during recess in elementary school. It was fun but I didn't really know what I was doing. Now the only soccer action that I participate in is 3 man teams and four man teams. I usually play a central defensive role. I can tackle pretty good and clear the ball away with long passes. I can also play a pretty good goalkeeper. I am tall with a bloody long reach. I would like to play in a league but the only sport everyone likes around my town is American football. This town eats, breathes, and shits football.

I've never really commited myself to one specific team, I used to play a lot with friends when I was a kid and I was an amazing 'keeper.

Nowadays I prefer to play in the centre of defence because my height and build makes me a pretty strong player in that position. Last year I was the assistant manager of an Under-9s team, which was a lot of fun actually.

I love to play football. Never actually been in a team though, I was considering joining the girl's team at school but... didn't, for some reason.

I've been playing practically since I could walk though, as my dad used to play with me in our garden. I would say I'm alright at it, my fondest footballing memory was the time when I was 12, and I was playing against a bunch of guys a lot older than me and kicked all their asses. XD

When it comes to position I'm good at centre wing positions (damnit I forget all their names) but I suck in goals. >< I can score from funny angles aswell, but I'm not good at penalties. One time I took a penalty and it was worse than one of Beckham's. x) I'm also terrible at clearing the ball in defense with those long-distance kicks, I'm more of a dribbler.

I tried playing when I was younger, but my coordination was...urm...lacking. Not a sport I enjoy playing, anyway. Those who are skilled impress me, though. Tough sport to play.

I'll stick with basketball and baseball.

I am known to dabble in the art of football, I play central midfield in more of an attacking role, i can kick with both feet (right is better than my left) and i play in a sunday league 6 a-side team

I used to play when i was younger, but i gave up after i got abunch of migranes from working to hard and spewing all the time... I know a some of my friends play still, even durning the winter (indoor). i used to be midfield and i think i was pretty good. :D

I used to play back when I lived in washington. I was midfield as well, I'm not sure why coach put me there. I wasn't very good, I didn't even manage to score a single goal lol. I assisted once! I was happy about that XD Anyway, I don't play anymore because I'm lazy and junk. Thinking about taking up fencing however.

Wings are on the sides (right midfield etc.) so centre wing = wut?

Ah, by centre I meant midfield then. I get my football positions mixed up with netball... ><

I play for an 11 a side team. Train every Tuesday and Thursday and games on Sunday. It's a U19's team that feeds a men's team in the Welsh first division (one below the prem). Have had a couple of First team callups this season which is a great experience. Not so inviting on the travel side of things with away games being about an average of 50 miles away each team. Just waiting to see at the end of the season if I get a permanent first team call up.

It's a brilliant game and the best sport in the world.

Hmmmmmmmm, well I play as striker, which according to 'Van Nistelrooy' means I'm greedy just because I get the goals >_<...albeit, I could play on the wing since I'm one of the quickest players in the league, and pretty skillful...Ronaldo eat your heart out.

PS. Isn't it Wing Attack in netball?

i play alot, normally in central midfield but because i can kick with both my left and right foot (predominantly right footed) i can be played pritty much anywhere on the pitch asides Goal keeper as i suck there.

whenever i have played for teams i mostly get put at left back but when i became captain of my school team i started playing in Center mid and have played there for my other teams as my coaches figured that was where i play best lol
